Supernatural: First Clip From Wayward Sisters Backdoor Pilot Surfaces

Normally at this time of year, we’re gearing up to see exactly how Sam and Dean Winchester will get themselves out of whatever jam the midseason finale of Supernatural left them in. In fact, we’re in that situation yet again, but this time around, they’re going to need some major help from outside parties.

Incidentally enough, said help will come in the form of Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes), Claire Novak (Kathryn Love Newton), Donna Hanscum (Brianna Buckmaster), Alex (Katherine Ramdeen) and the recently introduced Patience (Clark Backo) – as well as newcomer Kaia (Yadira Guevara-Prip), thus setting up the hopeful Wayward Sisters spinoff.

And unlike the Bloodlines fiasco from a few years back, this backdoor pilot looks to feel much more organic, even beginning with Jody telling Claire that “The boys have been on a hunting trip and haven’t been home in a few days,” which echoes

Supernatural Midseason Premiere Trailer Plants Seeds For Wayward Sisters Spinoff

Ever since the midseason finale of Supernatural concluded, we the fans have been kind of left in the dark as to where the series would go next. Sure, we knew that a backdoor pilot for the Wayward Sisters spinoff was next on the agenda, but all promo videos being circulated were very, very vague to say the least.

As it so happens, this decidedly meaty trailer for the midseason premiere is enough to tide us over for the next week, but does focus more on the hopeful spinoff than addressing what’s next for Sam and Dean Winchester themselves. When we really think about it, though, it makes sense that the producers not show all their cards at this moment, likely wishing to preserve the mystique of the horrific alternate universe known only to us as “the Bad Place” until it’s showtime.

Appropriately enough, it’s Claire Novak (Kathryn

Supernatural Team on Wayward Sisters' Winchesters Homage, Spinoff's 'Layers of Conflict' and Fan-Fave Crossovers
Longtime Supernatural fans might get a case of déjà vu while watching next Thursday’s backdoor pilot for the potential female-centric spinoff Wayward Sisters.

While Dean and Sam are stuck in The Bad Place, Sheriff Jody Mills (played by Kim Rhodes) “is calling to check in or maybe tell us about a case, and she can’t get a hold of us, and we’re not returning her calls,” star Jared Padalecki shared during TVLine’s set visit.

Supernatural: Season 14 Looks Likely Plus CW Boss Talks Spinoff

During the Winter TCAs, Supernatural super-fan and president of The CW, Mark Pedowitz, addressed whether the littlest network would cancel or renew its Supernatural TV show for a 14th season and talked about the potential spinoff, Wayward Sisters. Pedowitz recently extended his contract with The CW, which seems like good news for Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles). Find out what he had to say about the original series and its spinoff. A CW horror drama which is currently in its 13th season, Supernatural is still a top three show for the network, so it is unlikely to be cancelled. In addition to Padelecki and Ackles, the cast includes Misha Collins, Mark Pellegrino, and Alexander Calvert. Samantha Smith, Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton, Katherine Ramdeen, Loretta Devine, Clark Backo, Yadira Guevara-Prip, Christian Keyes,

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming comedy Blockers, which is slated for release on April 6, just in time for prom season. The story centers on three parents who discover their daughters' pact to lose their virginity at prom, as they launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal. In addition to the new trailer, Universal has also released the first poster and five photos from this outrageous comedy, which could be one of the surprise hits off 2018.

Leslie Mann (The Other Woman, This Is 40), Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad) and John Cena (Trainwreck, Sisters) star as the three parents who try to stop their daughters from having sex at prom in Blockers. New Trailer for 'Blockers' with Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz, John Cena

"Our girls are not thinking things through... I'm going to stop them!" Universal Pictures has released the second official trailer for the upcoming spring comedy titled Blockers, formerly known as The Pact, the feature directorial debut of writer/producer Kay Cannon. We already posted a red band trailer for this and it looks so awful. The plot involves three parents discovering their children are planning to lose their virginity on prom night, and set off to go stop them. If you don't get it, the title is a reference to "cockblocking" and the poster is basically that with a giant rooster (a "cock"), and it's so stupidly obvious it's painful. Blockers stars Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz, John Cena, Kathryn Newton, Geraldine Indira Viswanathan, and Gideon Adlan. This look so, so, so bad and I'm sad because the cast is great. Oh well. Enjoy if you can. Here's the second official

Last night, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association honored some of the most prestigious films of the year. Today, we have a trailer for “Blockers” about parents who are determined to stop their kids from having sex on prom night. Let’s just say that Hollywood knows which kinds of movies keep the lights on.

Starring Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz, John Cena, Kathryn Newton, Geraldine Indira Viswanathan, and Gideon Adlan, and co-produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, this movie took five credited screenwriters (all dudes) to mash out a script about anxious parents, who are so worried about their daughters having sex, they try to stop it from it happening.
