There was no joy in Los Angeles on Monday night, after mighty Kobe and the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs by Oklahoma City, and two creative fans aimed their frustration at the team’s polarizing star. Parodying Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know,” the duo of Dan Rib and Ken Belcher knocked Kobe Bryant for not being “The Kobe That We Used to Know.”
Points to any songwriter who can squeeze in references to the triangle offense, but the song’s thrust that Bryant is a ball hog — he scored 42 points in Game 5 but dished out zero assists — is hardly news. »

Chris Brown and Beyonce Knowles are among the dominating names on the nomination list of the 2012 Bet Awards announced on Tuesday, May 22. Breezy will face off the likes of Bruno Mars, Usher, Trey Songz and Miguel in the Best Male R&B Artist. He's also nominated for Video Director of the Year and Coca-Cola Viewer's Choice Award.
Queen Bey, meanwhile, leads the pack by grabbing six nods in total. The wife of Jay-z will compete against Marsha Ambrosius, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige and Melanie Fiona in claiming the Best Female R&B Artist title. Her other nominations include Best Collaboration for her work with J. Cole in "Party", and Video of the Year for her clip "Countdown".

Kanye West is in the running in seven categories for the 2012 Bet Awards. The nominations were announced Tuesday (May 22) in New York, along with the news that Samuel L. Jackson will be hosting the yearly fest.
West was closely followed by Beyonce, with six nominations, and his "Watch the Throne" collaborator (and Beyonce's husband) Jay-z, who snagged five nominations.
The awards will be held July 1 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium with performances from Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj, among others.

Bet Awards 2012 Nominees Announced
Bet unveiled the nominees for the 2012 Bet Awards this afternoon and if you're a Beyonce or Kanye West fan, you ought to be plenty happy, as the two combined for 13 nominations. Beyonce received nominations for three different videos from her latest album 4, snatching up a shared nomination for Video Director of the Year along the way, while Kanye was honored for his work as a part of The Throne. Also generating plenty of recognition were Chris Brown (three nominations and a performance), Drake (four nominations), and Rick Ross (three nominations), among others.
Joining Brown as a confirmed performer is Nicki Minaj, having earned a nomination of her own, while the Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to soul icons Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. Last year, Chris Brown was the top award winner, taking home five trophies, three for smash hit "Look at Me Now".

Warner Bros. is starting to pick up the pace in their The Dark Knight Rises marketing efforts a little bit. Not that they need to since it seems everyone knows it is coming out and are anxious to see it on IMAX. Maybe there's some new pressure to perform after Marvel's The Avengers blew away expectations and records in its big debut, and shows no signs of letting up anytime soon.
First up on The Dark Knight Rises front is a new TV spot that debuted during the NBA Playoffs this past weekend. It's a mash-up of footage from The Dark Knight Rises and various NBA stars dunking the ball and "rising" to the occasion of the playoffs. Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth are both nominated for Hottie awards at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. While Cyrus competes against Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Kate Upton in Female Hottie category, Hemsworth faces off the likes of Justin Bieber, Robert Pattinson, Ian Somerhalder and Ryan Gosling in Male Hottie category.
The former "Hannah Montana" star is also nominated for Choice Fashion Icon: Female. Her rivals include such high-fashion celebrities as Perry, Nicki Minaj, Zooey Deschanel and Jennifer Lopez. The Teen Choice Awards has released its first wave of nominees for the 2012 awards show, which will air Sunday, July 22, on Fox. The CW's "The Vampire Diaries" leads the pack of nominees with six nominations, while "Boyfriend" singer Justin Bieber and Fox's "American Idol" each got five nominations.
And just when you thought they couldn't come up with any more categories for the already lengthy list, the show has added Choice Book and Choice Electronic Dance Music (Edm) Artist.
Starting Friday (May 18), fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day per category for their favorite nominees on the Teen Choice Awards site.

Love was in there air at the Lakers game on Saturday as two of Hollywood’s biggest couples made their way to the Staples Center and caught game seven of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Newly minted mega-duo/future legal battle Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were spotted courtside cuddling together and holding hands, seeming very much in photographer-friendly love. The two only had eyes for each other, and it’s not hard to see why when you get a look at Kim’s skin tight leather mini-dress. Yeezy must have had a hard time keeping his mind (and eyes) on the game!

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel got affectionate while attending Los Angeles Lakers match on Saturday, May 13. The couple, who was engaged in late December 2011, was spotted having a full make-out session when they were caught on "Kiss Cam."
Before the game started, the former Nsync member tweeted, "C'mon, LakeShow.." He was later involved in a drumming session with a member of Lakers band to cheer up his favorite team. After Lakers won over the Denver Nuggets 96-87 in game 7 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals, the Sean Parker of "The Social Network" gave a high five to Kobe Bryant.
