Greg Louganis is a married man! The Olympic gold medalist and Splash coach married paralegal Johnny Chaillot at Geoffrey's in Malibu on Saturday, Oct. 11. The wedding occurred just six months after the couple got engaged. "It was amazing because I have so many people from all facets of my life here tonight and they are all here and celebrating it is all wonderful," Louganis told People moments after exchanging vows at sunset. "I already feel different. The ceremony was so reflective and representative of who we are." Olympic diving champion Greg Louganis married his partner Johnny Chaillot during a ceremony Saturday in Malibu.

"Last night was magical! I am so blessed!" the 53-year-old gold medal-winner and recent "Dive Master" coach for the ABC celebrity diving show Splash announced on Twitter. "Johnny Chaillot walked down the aisle by his sisters, and me by my coach," he revealed.

Louganis met his 52-year-old husband last year and the two dated for about a year before getting engaged last April.

The grooms stood before about 160 guests in matching white suits alongside a wedding party that included Chaillot's four sisters and Louganis' Olympic coach, Ron O'Brien, People magazine reported. Celebrity guests included actors Barbara Eden and French Stewart, as well as comedian Bruce Vilanch and fellow Olympians Janet Evans and Nadia Comaneci.

Olympic diver Greg Louganis is no stranger to gold medals, but now he is getting used to a wedding band. Louganis, 53, married paralegal Johnny Chaillot, 52, Saturday evening at Geoffrey's in Malibu. L.A. Olympics 2024: Los Angeles notifies committee of intent to bid

The city of Los Angeles, Cal. has the Olympic Games on it's mind. City officials have formally notified the United States Olympic Committee, letting the group know they want to bid for the 2024 Summer Games, Espn reports.

The committee sent letters to 35 U.S. cities, looking for those interested in bidding on the games. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa responded, writing, "We are proud of our city's sports heritage and tradition, and we stand ready to work with you to bring the Olympic Games back to the United States."

Included with the mayor's response was a letter from the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games, which included signatures from actor Tom Hanks, basketball great Magic Johnson, and Olympic gold medal winner Janet Evans.

Los Angeles has hosted the Olympics twice, in 1932 and 1984. The last time they took place in the United States was the 1996 Games in Atlanta, Ga. »
