Twitterwatch: Celebrity Identity Crisis Edition

9 September 2010 1:04 PM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

I want Adam Bouska to airbrush me back to 1994.

Here at Twitterwatch we experience identity crises every week when we take thirty celebrities' disparate tweets over the course of a week and try and find a narrative. But when the celebrities themselves don't seem to know who they are, things get very meta and we start drinking before noon.

Sasha Roiz, who plays a same-sex loving gangster on Caprica, gets in touch with his younger self while supporting equality. I've often wished I lived somewhere NOH8 did a photoshoot, because I could use some of Adam Bouska's airbrushing myself. Sasha, he was hot enough without the help.

Meanwhile, Boy George weighs in on Lady Gaga/Madonna comparisons with a fairly succinct bit of logic - and we all play dress up to an extent. At least Boy George's desire to pretend has some sass.

Best. Gay. Week. Ever! Who Deserves the "Gay" Emmy? Plus, Am I Part of a Conspiracy?

26 August 2010 9:49 PM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

And According To Me, The Winner Is!

Since every media outlet in existence including American Woodworker, Embalming & Burial and Prison Guard Weekly has already weighed in with their Emmy pics for this Sunday's award show, I thought I'd do something different. Like … take the week off. But the rest of the staff objected to that for some reason.

So instead , since this column is called the Best.Gay.Week.Ever!, I thought it would be fun to look back to the dawn of time and name the gay shows, characters, actors, writers I think most deserving of, well, let's call them the Gay Emmys, or following the lead of Kathy Griffin, the Gemmys!

Here are the categories for which I'll be selecting winners as if these nominees were competing against each other for an Emmy: Best Drama Series, Best Comedy Series, Best Gay Actor Comedy, Best Gay Actor Drama, Best Writing Drama, »

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Lead Foot Edition

Some of you argued with me about Eric Balfour's body. We all win.

Here at Twitterwatch, one of our favorite things is to find patterns in what celebrities are talking about. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Strangely enough, this week, it seems to have worked. I kind of wish it hadn't. Things are going to get weird.

I've mentioned Eric Balfour's sexy man curves on other threads this week, and some of you have the nerve to disagree with me! So I put him on the front page for Twitterwatch, and right here to prove my point. He's actually gotten better with age when get to looking at pictures. So while what he just tweeted is true, that doesn't mean a little aging hurts.

But as folks age, they often think of plastic surgery. Evidently people in Los Angeles were thinking a lot about aging, at least »

Twitterwatch: Tweets From Our Favorite Celebrities, Taking Care of Yourself Edition

Nick Adams is the picture of health.

Here at Twitterwatch, we're all about the innermost (tweeted) thoughts of our favorite celebrities. But we're not above taking special notice of the their physical assets too. And a good diet and exercise routine helps keep our interest.

The body that Broadway actor Nick Adams displays at the top of the page is no doubt the product of more exercise in a day than I get in a decade. So I understand why he needs good music at the gym to stay motivated. Plus, being in musical theater I'm guessing show tunes are too much like work for his time off.

Besides the gym, they say the some of the best exercise on the planet is good, vigorous sex. So no doubt the doorbell ringing just as she got her heart rate up would be a disappointment to Kathy Griffin.

Welcome back to TwitterWatch, our weekly update of tweeted fun!

When you make your living playing an actual angel on Supernatural, and once played a character on Nip/Tuck who wanted a smaller penis, it's to be expected that you might be plotting for world domination like Misha Collins.

Of course he doesn't see anything wrong with that:

When it comes to a giant ego, you'd be hard pressed to find one bigger than Kiss frontman Gene Simmons. Remember when he said Adam Lambert should have stayed in the closet? His non-wife Shannon Tweed decided to bring it up again - almost a year later.

I'm guessing it's all about the marketing of a new season of Family Jewels that you're bringing it up now, isn't it?

'Bones' Fan Columnist: Heartwarming and heart-wrenching ... Hart, why?

9 April 2010 2:51 AM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

Ok , so I am totally still reeling from last night's completely amazing 100th episode of Bones, "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole."  As much as the wait killed me, I have to say that it was definitely worth it.  Hands down, my favorite Bones episode to date!

As I'm sure you all knew, this episode was a flashback episode about Booth and Bones' first case they ever worked on together.  Fabulously directed by the incredible David Boreanaz, the episode featured the return of Eric Millegan as Zack Addy and Patricia Belcher as Caroline Julian, two faces we haven't seen in a very long time.

David Boreanaz Talks ‘Bones’ 100th Episode Spoilers & More

29 March 2010 3:21 PM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

With Bones returning this Thursday, I was invited to take part in a conference call with Seely Booth himself, David Boreanaz, where the former vampire provided some insight about the past, present and future of everyone’s favorite forensic anthropology drama.

Boreanaz was more than happy to talk about the upcoming 100th episode, Fox’s original plans for the series, why Zach (Eric Millegan) is no longer on the show and what is in store for the season finale and beyond.

Thanks to Twitter, I found out how vociferous Bones fans can be. So, in hopes of staying on their good side, I have separated the highlights into non-spoilers and spoilers. Although, just to save myself from any angry messages, I deem everything below as Mild Spoilers.

In total, the conference call with Boreanaz lasted around 40 minutes and I’m only including selected highlights below – but make sure to check »

Bones Casting, Love Interest Scoops: More on Zack, Cam's New Man

17 February 2010 5:24 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Who is getting married on Bones?

This is the question on the minds of most fans, as an upcoming wedding has been confirmed for the Fox hit.

As you mull over the couples that might walk down the aisle, creator Hart Hanson has provided us with a couple other scoops regarding Zack and Camille. First:

Eric Millegan reprises his role as the former character returns for Bones' 100th episode on April 8, but he won't be sticking around.

“I have no plans to bring him back as a regular,” Hanson told Fancast.com this week. “The 'squintern' thing is working very well for us, which is why it happened in the first place: to bring more and more stories into the lab. And that’s going to be more and more necessary as time goes on in Bones. For production reasons, we need stories in the lab, and the rotating interns provide that. »
