The biggest pop culture event of the year, San Diego Comic-Con, begins today and with it comes images from the convention that have begun to leak online. For example, these awesome new concept art posters for two upcoming Marvel movies – Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok, respectively.

Twitter user Shawn Madden first shared these pics and as you can see, the first one is for Ryan Coogler’s upcoming spinoff and features both Chadwick Boseman unmasked as King T’Challa of Wakanda as well as in full costume as Black Panther. Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira’s characters, kickass royal guardswomen Nakia and Okoye, are also pictured. Finally, Michael B. Jordan’s villain Killmonger is featured in his own terrifying mask.

Mark Ruffalo says another solo Hulk movie “will never happen”

16 July 2017 1:09 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

During yesterday’s appearance at D23 to promote Avengers: Infinity War, Mark Ruffalo was asked whether we might get to see him reprising the role of Bruce Banner to headline is own solo movie. Unfortunately for Hulk fans, Ruffalo had some bad news.

“I want to just make one thing perfectly clear today: A standalone Hulk movie will never happen,” said Ruffalo. “Universal has the rights, and for some reason, they don’t know how to play well with Marvel. And, they don’t want to make money.”

However, Kevin Feige seemed a little more optimistic – but only a little – stating : “We have a very strict never say never policy but he’s correct that there are no plans. He’s amazing in the Avengers movies, Thor: Ragnarok, that trailer we unleashed to the world we saw the excitement when we pair Hulk with other characters, that’s what we’re doing right now. »

Not to slight Comic-Con's infamous Hall H, but D23, Disney's fan expo, was the place to be for any card-carrying Marvel fan. One week ahead of Marvel Studio's Sdcc takeover, head honcho Kevin Feige took the stage during Walt Disney Studios' live-action panel to unveil the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War.

"Almost every single hero that we've ever introduced is going to be in that film. Why you ask? Because of one person." Feige told the crowd, signaling the entrance of Josh Brolin, who plays the Avengers' ultimate big bad, Thanos.

As for the heroes who will take the Mad Titan? Feige introduced them one by one: Paul Bettany (Vision), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Dave Bautista (Drax). Is that enough to take down Thanos?

Nepal Newspaper Accidentally Uses Spider-Man Parody Poster Featuring Trump

11 July 2017 12:23 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming debuted in the U.S. and most of its international markets last weekend, although a newspaper in one international territory is coming under fire for using a parody poster to promote the film. A Reddit user noticed that the Nepalese newspaper The Himalayan Times used a Spider-Man: Homecoming parody poster, which featured a now-infamous photo of U.S. President Donald Trump and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulazizin, along with DC superhero Batman and actor Pauly Shore, in a section of the newspaper that features movies which are currently playing. The poster was created by artist Mike Mitchell, which he posted on Twitter back in May.

This embarrassing gaffe was first spotted by a Reddit user named "Q-Q_Reddit," which eventually got the attention of Mike Mitchell, who posted that The Himalayan Times had used his artwork. The electronic version of The Himalayan Times newspaper from that date, »

James Bond: new report suggests Daniel Craig is staying on

9 July 2017 10:09 PM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Simon Brew Jul 10, 2017

James Bond 25 looks like seeing a return for Daniel Craig as 007...

With the 25th James Bond expected to start filming this year, it seems it’s coming to make your mind up time for Daniel Craig. The incumbent 007 has looked, since Spectre, to be departing the role of Bond, with a collection of candidates for the role consequently interesting the bookies.

But it now appears as if the likes of Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston may have to wait. The Mirror is reporting that Daniel Craig has definitely decided to do a fifth James Bond movie. The same report suggests that Adele is being targeted to record the theme tune for the new movie, too.

This is all pinch of salt stuff for the minute, of course, but the tide has seemed to have turned over the past six months or so. At one stage, it »

TV Review: ‘Will,’ TNT’s Punk Rock Take on William Shakespeare

9 July 2017 12:10 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

The oddest assumption “Will” makes is in assuming that William Shakespeare, the Og of the English language, needs the patina of punk rock to make him cool. I’m no expert on cool, but haven’t we all trod this ground many times before? The executive producer and writer of the pilot, Craig Pearce, wrote the screenplay for “Romeo + Juliet,” along with director Baz Luhrmann and, of course, the Bard himself. It’s been over 20 years since that film and “Shakespeare in Love”; about a decade since teen movies “She’s the Man” and “Deliver Us From Eva” applied the Shakespeare formula to high school. To belabor the point: Joss Whedon’s black-and-white, modern-day “Much Ado About Nothing” is just five years old, 2014’s “The Hollow Crown” on BBC cast well-known heartthrobs like Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead roles, and for pete’s sake, “The Lion King” is based on “Hamlet.”

Daniel Craig to Return as James Bond, and Adele Might Sing the Theme Song — Report

9 July 2017 9:29 AM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Daniel Craig is on the record in saying he’d “rather slash [his] wrists” than play James Bond again, but a new report suggests that the actor will return to the franchise after all. According to the Mirror, Craig will indeed get behind the wheel of the Aston Martin as 007 once more — and Adele might even perform the theme song.

“Craig and Adele together are the winning team, the ultimate choice, the money spinners,” said a source close to the production of Bond 25, according to the Mirror. “It’s taken time but Daniel has come round and the strong con–sensus in the Bond offices is that Mr Craig is 007 again. As for Adele, she’s more of an unknown quantity but loved being part of Bond, so the signs are positive. »

Spider-Man: Homecoming may have just only opened in theaters, but we’re less than four months away from the release of the next chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – and the third this year – Thor: Ragnarok.

Taking time out from talking Spider-Man, Kevin Feige has spoken to The Toronto Sun about the cosmic threequel, stating that it will “drastically” alter the McU, and lead directly into the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

“I think that we are finding ourselves as we complete Phase Three and finish this 22-movie narrative that it’s working out that way. We did three Iron Man films, three Captain America films, three Thor films. Things change drastically in Ragnarok and then build directly into Infinity War.”

As to how Ragnarok could lead into Infinity War, Chris Hemsworth has previously hinted that we might see the inclusion of the sixth and final Infinity Stone in Ragnarok, »
