On any given day, she’s on Fox News, or MSNBC, or CNN, putting out fires — and starting new ones. Here are the appearances that made headlines, coined new terms (see: “alternative facts”), graced the opening monologues of late-night TV and spawned countless memes.

1. Alternative facts.

Just two days into the Trump presidency, while discussing the inauguration on Meet the Press, Conway attempted to defend Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s claims that the crowds at Trump’s inauguration were the biggest ever. Spicer, »

Stephen Colbert welcomed (tape of) Kellyanne Conway to “The Late Show” on Monday, and some clever editing didn’t exactly make her come off like a genius strategist. “Thank you for talking at me today,” Colbert cleverly kicked off their “interview.” He then peppered (footage of) Conway with questions about Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russians during his father’s campaign against Hillary Clinton. 10 July 2017 10:27 AM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

CNN’s Chris Cuomo feuded with White House counselor Kellyanne Conway during a lengthy interview on Monday, and the Trump surrogate accused the “New Day” co-anchor of “trying to go viral.” The interview lasted more than 30 minutes, but got especially heated in the final 10 minutes when Cuomo and Conway got into the way CNN has covered the Trump administration. Trump and his supporters regularly refer to CNN as “fake news,” and Conway said that the network is obsessed with Russia instead of issues that impact the American people. “You want to talk about Russia, I want to talk about the. »

Donald Trump Tweets John Podesta Clobber Before Vladimir Putin Meeting

7 July 2017 4:55 AM, PDT | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

The morning of President Donald Trump’s first meeting — or second, or third, depending on which Trump quote you subscribe to — with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin, TV news pundits hyperventilated about potential presidential body language. They made much of Friday morning’s official G20 group photo shoot, for which the two men stood at opposite ends of the front row. The First Handshake also got deconstructed: “He gave him the shake and the under-pat!” CNN’s Chris Cuomo… »

NBC News Says It Will Air Alex Jones Interview Despite Controversy

16 June 2017 5:30 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

NBC News said  it would air an interview between controversial provocateur Alex Jones and anchor Megyn Kelly this weekend, despite a swelling chorus of voices urging the NBCUniversal unit not to do so.

“Despite Alex Jones’ efforts to distract from and ultimately prevent the airing of our report, we remain committed to giving viewers context and insight into a controversial and polarizing figure, how he relates to the president of the United States and influences others, and to getting this serious story right,” NBC News said in a statement Friday morning.”Tune in Sunday.”

NBC’s renewed commitment to airing the segment comes after Jones purported to leak a portion of some exchanges between himself and Kelly, and as the segment, slated to air on a Kelly-anchored Sunday newsmagazine that is still in its relative infancy, generates a slew of negative attention.

CNN Presses ‘New Day’ to Hit Hard in the Morning

15 June 2017 10:44 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

CNN said it intends to continue flouting the typical conventions of TV’s morning-news programs with its “New Day,” a show executives said Thursday morning is built to hold newsmakers accountable rather than ease viewers into the A.M. with soothing tones and cross-staff chatter.

“‘New Day’ is there to hold both sides accountable,” said Jeff Zucker, president of CNN Worldwide, at a press event Thursday. “We are doing the straightest news program on the straightest news channel.” “New Day” saw its audience rise 50% in the first quarter of 2017 among viewers between the ages of 25 and 54 – the audience most coveted by advertisers in news programming – and 27% overall.  Zucker said the program has helped CNN generate the biggest audience it has ever had between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. The program is preceded by the early-morning news program “Early Start.”

But “New Day” is not nearly as light or fluffy as the scrambled eggs many of its viewers »

CNN Drops Reza Aslan Following Anti-Trump Tweets

9 June 2017 11:25 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

CNN no longer believes in “Believer,” the non-fiction series it launched earlier this year with Reza Aslan, the Iranian-American author and religious scholar.

“CNN has decided to not move forward with production on the acquired series ‘Believer with Reza Aslan,'” the network said in a statement. “We wish Reza and his production team all the best. ”

Aslan came under fire earlier this month after using profanity to describe President Donald Trump in the wake of remarks the President made about the terrorist attacks on London. In the tweet, Aslan called Trump “a piece of s—” and expressed dismay at Trump’s use of the tragedy to promote his desire for a so-called “travel ban” on certain kinds of people hailing from specific countries in the Middle East. The author later apologized, saying, “I should have used better language to express my shock and frustration at the president’s lack of decorum and sympathy for the victims »

‘Covfefe’ Stumps National Spelling Bee Champ on CNN (Video)

CNN attempted to stump a spelling bee champion on Thursday by bringing her on air and having her spell the most popular “word” on the internet this week: “covfefe.” The network invited 12-year-old Ananya Vinay on, who recently won the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Anchors Alisyn Camerota and Chris Cuomo — of CNN’s “New Day” — asked her to spell the famous typo made by President Donald Trump on Twitter earlier this week. She went on to ask the typical spelling bee questions. “Language of origin?” The anchors answered: “Gibberish.” Also Read: Sean Spicer Says Trump and 'Small Group' Know What »

CNN’s Chris Cuomo and Kellyanne Conway got heated during an interview on Wednesday about the firing of James Comey, with the White House counselor telling the “New Day” co-host, “You always want to talk about Russia, Russia, Russia.” Russia is a major part of the story, as Comey’s FBI had been investigating Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election and any potential collusion of Russians with members of the Trump campaign. Cue the handmaids.

The Tribeca Film Festival announced its second annual Tribeca TV program on Thursday and it includes a range of world premieres, popular show returns and a slate of independent pilots. One of the most highly anticipated debuts will be Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel, “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Tribeca 2017 Lineup: New Fillms From Alex Gibney, Azazel Jacobs and Laurie Simmons Lead the Eclectic Mix

The series has been in the news lately, and not only because it will premiere soon. The dystopian story about a government forcing fertile women to become breeders for their high-ranking officials has struck a nerve among progressive women who are wary of having their health and reproductive rights controlled. Recently, protestors dressed in the handmaids’ red robes and white bonnets made an appearance in the Texas Senate gallery as its members were passing abortion legislation.

Kellyanne Conway Tells CNN That She’s Not Inspector Gadget

In what is certainly not surprising for a Monday morning, Kellyanne Conway was blitzed with questions surrounding President Trump’s claim that Barack Obama ordered wiretapping at Trump Tower during the 2016 Presidential campaign.  Conway had this to say and I quote: she told Chris Cuomo that she’s “not Inspector Gadget,” referring to the children’s cartoon show.   Conway’s also been quoted as saying that Obama’s team might have used “microwaves” for surveillance on Trump’s team. “What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other,” Conway told the Record. “You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through
