Archie and Veronica Hook Up in the Shower in the Crazy Riverdale Season 2 Trailer

13 September 2017 11:20 AM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Riverdale's first season ends with one hell of a cliffhanger when Archie's dad, Fred Andrews, is shot by a masked assailant. In the first look at season two, which debuted at Comic-Con, fans got a hint about Fred's bloody fate, whodunnit, and what Cheryl is up to (nothing good, obviously). Now, a new look at the second season has us freaking out even more. On top of the eerie music, the 40 second trailer features Varchie hooking up in the shower, Bughead making out in the rain, Cheryl strutting down the halls of the hospital, and Archie getting held at gunpoint. How are we supposed to sleep with all of these questions? We'll have to wait until season two premieres on Oct. 11 to get some answers, but until then . . . somebody needs to give Archie a hug. Check out the other sneak peeks below after you've watched the latest trailer. - »

Season 2 of CW’s Riverdale can’t come soon enough for fans of the hit series. From the looks of the teasers, the next season seems like it’ll be darker than the first, which ended on a cliffhanger.

Last month, the show’s cast took the stage at Comic-Con to spill some secrets about the second season. Someone's going to die in season two of Riverdale.  E! News has your exclusive first look at the official key art for season two, and it looks like Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe, at the very least, will never be the same.  Of course, season one featured a father murdering his son and then hanging himself, and then ended with Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) getting shot in the diner, and he appeared to be dying in Archie's (Kj Apa) arms while Jughead (Cole Sprouse) informed us via voiceover that this was no random robbery, and that someone in that diner was targeted. Review: Riverdale The Complete First Season

15 August 2017 9:22 AM, PDT | Comicmix.com | See recent Comicmix news »

Originally, Archie Andrews and his pals at Riverdale High reflected the codification of teenage life, as they had more leisure time and disposable income. Once it hit big, the comic series and its infinite number of spinoffs, became stuck in amber, barely trying to keep up with changing trends (other than fashion) or concerns for teens. By the 2000s, the entire company was on the ropes, increasingly irrelevant in a rapidly changing world.

In comics, they threw a Hail Mary, revamping the writing and art, making the characters look and act in contemporary ways. Thanks to Mark Waid, Adam Hughes, Chip Zdarsky, and a few others, the characters were suddenly cool once more. The company’s product mix suddenly had the classic digest reprints, the new look, some Zombie title and they were saved.

During all this, Greg Berlanti brought his magic touch, bringing the comic to the CW, working »

We Would "Scream" If This Actress Ends Up Playing Jughead's Mom on Riverdale

12 August 2017 12:20 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Image Source: The CW Riverdale is full of mystery and darkness, and it's only going to get more intense next season. While there are bound to be plenty of surprises in store as several fresh faces come to town, there are two characters in particular who we are all dying to meet: Jughead's mom (whose name is Gladys in the comic books) and his sister, Jellybean. During Comic-Con, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teased that we could meet the mother-daughter duo during the second half of the season. Of course, they're taking their sweet time with casting to make sure they find the perfect fit. While we're not sure how many young actresses could pull off a 10-year-old who listens to Pink Floyd on vinyl, fans already have the perfect choice for Jughead's mom: Neve Campbell. Not only does she have the Jones family's jet-black hair, but it would also make for »

Does 'Riverdale' Season 2 Need Flashbacks?

15 May 2017 5:43 AM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

Riverdale season 1 opened with a brand-new scandal for the small town, a murder. Throughout the course of season 1 it became obvious that Archie and the gang weren't the first group of teenagers to get into some soapy shenanigans. After countless hints and references to the past, a picture emerged that Fred Andrews was nearly as prolific in his teenage years as his son. The history between the parents of Riverdale has been a big factor in the story but it has only been talked about, not really seen. It might ruin some surprises down the line but Riverdale should consider adding in flashbacks for season 2.

The Biggest Reason You Recognize Fp on Riverdale

12 May 2017 3:30 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Image Source: The CW Riverdale is loaded with the best young talent Hollywood has to offer, but the parental figures are nothing to sneeze at, either. Of course they're all wildly attractive, but they're also all veteran actors. Luke Perry, aka Fred Andrews, is a TV legend thanks to Beverly Hills, 90210. Mädchen Amick, aka Alice Cooper, got her start on Twin Peaks. But what about Fp Jones? You know that face from somewhere. Of course you do - he's played by the forever sexy Skeet Ulrich. Ulrich broke onto the scene in the late '90s with roles in teen hits like The Craft and Boys. It was his portrayal of Billy Loomis in the original Scream, however, that solidified his place in pop culture history. Image Source: Miramax After his breakout role, he appeared in films like As Good as It Gets and The Newton Boys. He starred in the 2003 series Miracle, »

Breaking Down the Identity of the Mysterious Gunman on Riverdale

12 May 2017 2:35 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Riverdale has concluded its first season, and we're already craving more. While the show finally put the mystery surrounding Jason Blossom's killer to rest, there is another big question on the table: who shot Fred Andrews? In the final moments of the episode, a masked robber comes into Pop's and shoots Archie's dad in the stomach. As he bleeds out on the floor, we're left to wonder if he'll actually survive. While we'll have to wait until season two to know for sure, that hasn't stopped us from theorizing who the mysterious shooter might be. As Jughead points out in the narration, this act of violence wasn't random. So, who has the most motive for killing Fred Andrews? Here are three likely suspects in order of least to most guilty. 3. Penelope Blossom The Blossoms do have quite the reputation for murdering people. Maybe she was seeking revenge for Archie and his friends cracking Jason's murder. »

Riverdale ended its first season with a bang on Thursday! Just as the town was unraveling the truth behind Jason Blossom’s death, another shocking blow came in the finale’s last moments, when Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) was gunned down during a robbery at Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe as son Archie (Kj Apa) helplessly tried to intervene.

Et hopped on the phone with Riverdale executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who stayed mum on Fred’s fate, but dished on how the shocking events of the finale -- which included intense family drama for Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse), as well -- will affect each character as Riverdale looks ahead to its second season.
