Having spent the last year sat in screening rooms and cinemas watching over 200 of 2011′s cinematic offerings, it stands to reason that I’m going to have to sit through a fair share of duds. As I had seen the vast majority of the key Oscar plays before November, I spent the latter part of the year dedicating myself to seeking out the worst, most lowest common denominator fare ripe for a skewering, and with these twenty dreadful pictures, we have what are, in my opinion, the 20 biggest train wrecks of 2011. Note that Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star is still awaiting worldwide DVD release and didn’t get distribution in the U.K., so that’s one that I was forced to avoid, but I’m assured that it’s irredeemably horrible nevertheless. Anyway, on with the list…

Jim Carrey is dating Anastasia Vitkina, a sexy blonde from Russia. According to the New York Post, the blonde woman and the 49-year-old actor have dating for just a brief period. Jim is still trying to replace his beautiful ex, Carrey split from Jenny McCarthy (pictured) after five years together. He rebounded with 24-year-old model Anchal Joseph in January. More blonde romance... Ryan Phillippe's latest love interest is pretty, blonde and only 20, according to a claim from a Us tabloid. According to Life & Style, "the 37-year-old actor is dating a 20-year old model and actress named Paulina Slagter (and) the two were spotted having lunch together in West Hollywood this week." "Paulina was on Entourage, and she's trying to do more acting," an insider tells Life & Style. "She's always auditioning and doing modeling." Summit Entertainment is pushing hard to get their fingers into the horror genre. The effort is noted, even though they really don't have much of a track record yet. This past year they started off strong taking a big chance on Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer's Drive Angry 3D, a super fun movie that nobody saw (what's wrong with you!). Other than that they continually pushed The Darkest Hour to the brink of death and saw yet another Twilight film in theaters. Next year's lineup isn't all that impressive either, although who doesn't want to see more of Amanda Seyfried in a genre pic? I'm also quite curious to see what All the Boys Love Mandy Lane director Jonathan Levine can pull off with zombies. »
The trailer for Amanda Seyfried’s thriller “Gone” (above) didn’t exactly blow me away, but hey, maybe the movie itself will be better. One can only hope, right? Anyways, here’s the new poster for Heitor Dhalia’s “Gone”, due out February 24, 2012. The film finds the big-eyed Seyfried playing a woman name Jill. When her little sister disappears, Jill is convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years earlier has returned to finish the job, forcing our plucky heroine to once again face her abductor. Of course, no one believes her. Not about her sister, but that she was even kidnapped two years ago in the first place. Yeah, quite a dilemma for our Jill, that. Also starring Jennifer Carpenter, Daniel Sunjata, Wes Bentley, Sebastian Stan, and “Avatar’s” Joel David Moore »

Ryan Phillippe had a lady by his side for lunch at Hugo's in La yesterday. Ryan has been seemingly single since splitting with Amanda Seyfried earlier this year, though it appears that he's finishing off 2011 with a new girl. Those weren't the only developments in Ryan's personal life over the past 12 months - he also became a dad again when his ex Alexis Knapp gave birth to his baby girl. That was just one of many surprising pregnancy announcements of 2011, joining that of Beyoncé Knowles, Jessica Simpson, and January Jones to name a few. Ryan has yet to speak publicly about the arrival of his younger daughter, though the little one does officially have the last name Phillippe. View Slideshow › »

The big screen look into the troubled life of 70’s porn superstar Linda Lovelace now has a number of venerable character actors onboard.
Robert Patrick, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale and Chris Noth have joined the production, which stars Amanda Seyfried in the lead role and Peter Sarsgaard as her violent, manipulative husband. Like Walk the Line, Patrick is performing daddy duties again and has been cast as Lovelace’s estranged father, while ‘Simpsons’ voice veteran Azaria will play the director of the porn flick in which she made her name, Deep Throat.

Actor James Franco is reportedly in talks to play Playboy boss Hugh Hefner in a new porn biopic. The Hollywood star is set to appear in upcoming movie Lovelace, alongside Amanda Seyfried who has already been lined up to play Deep Throat actress Linda Lovelace, according to Variety. The former Oscars host will be on set for just one day for a scene in which Lovelace visits the Playboy mansion. Lovelace starred in the 1972 movie, which is widely regarded to be the first porn film with a 'plot'. She later revealed that she had been forced to do the movie at gunpoint by her then husband Chuck Traynor. © Splash News »

She is currently shooting porn biopic Lovelace with Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone and James Franco, but In Time beauty Amanda Seyfried’s new thriller Gone looks an interesting project. Here we have a look at the first poster and trailer for the film in which a serial killer comes back for an escaped victim only to torture her even further by kidnapping her younger sister instead.

Following on from the trailer released back in November, Summit Entertainment have released the one-sheet poster for Amanda Seyfried’s new Taken-esque thriller Gone, which tells the story of a girl who is kidnapped by a serial killer, and her older sister that sets out on a mission to rescue her. Gone, which is released on February 24th, also stars Emily Wickersham, Wes Bentley, Jennifer Carpenter, Erin Carufel, Sebastian Stan and Socratis Otto.
Jill Parrish comes home from working the night shift to discover that her sister Molly has disappeared. Jill is convinced that Molly has been abducted by the same serial killer from whom Jill escaped the year before and that by sundown Molly will be dead. The police think Jill is crazy, so she sets out alone to rescue her. Is Jill mentally ill, merely chasing shadows, or will she find Molly before it’s too late?
James Franco as Hugh Hefner? The actor, who last starred in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, is in talks with Millenium/Nu Image to appear in a cameo as the iconic founder of Playboy, in Lovelace, the biopic of Linda Lovelace. Photos: James Franco and Other Oscar Hosts Through the Years Lovelace sees Amanda Seyfried as the woman who starred in one of the most famous pornos of all time, Deep Throat. Also in the cast are Peter Sarsgaard as her husband, Chuck Traynor, and Hank Azaria as Jerry Damiano, the director of Deep Throat. Bobby Cannavale and Chris

The script was penned by Allison Burnett. The story follows “Jill Parrish (Amanda Seyfried) [who] comes home from a night shift to discover her sister Molly has been abducted. Jill, who had escaped from a kidnapper a year before, is convinced that the same serial killer has come back for her sister. Afraid that Molly will be dead by sundown, Jill embarks on a heart-pounding chase to find the killer, expose his secrets and save her sister.”
Gone arrives in theaters on February 24. Check out the full-size poster below and share your thoughts:
A first poster has arrived for missing person thriller Gone, and Amanda Seyfried is looking like a woman on a mission. The film will see Seyfried play Jill Parrish, a young woman who returns from her night shift to find her sister has gone missing. Having been kidnapped herself one year earlier, Jill is sure the same villain has abducted her sister, but the police are unconvinced. Naturally, Jill proceeds to do what any reasonable person would do in the situation, laying her hands on a gun and setting out to take the law into her own...

In next year’s thriller Gone, Amanda Seyfried plays a girl trying to rescue her sister from a madman. There’s just one problem: The police don’t think there is a madman. They do think Seyfried is bonkers crazy. The new poster seems to play off the what-is-real plotline, with the giant floating head of Amanda Seyfried etched against a picture of a girl (her missing sister? or Seyfried herself?) and the silhouette of the killer. One thing’s for sure: This isn’t Letters from Juliet 2. (Unless that’s the twist?) Check out the full-sized image below:

Variety reports that James Franco is in talks to join the picture, titled "Lovelace," as none other than Hugh Hefner. Franco would only work for one day, to film a scene in which young Hefner screens "Deep Throat" at the Playboy Mansion and has a little chat with Ms. Lovelace.
The film has no shortage of huge stars. Aside from Seyfried and Franco (whose casting is not yet finalized) the cast includes Peter Sarsgaard, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Hank Azaria, Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone, Wes Bentley, Juno Temple. »
Well, I mean, she's right here. Gone is just the title. Summit Entertainment just sent over this new poster for the upcoming thriller featuring the Mean Girls and Red Riding Hood star. This is going to be a different kind of role for her, one that sees her taking the offense to save her sister from a serial killer. Jill Parrish (Amanda Seyfried) comes home from a night shift to discover her sister Molly has been abducted. Jill, who had escaped from a kidnapper a year before, is »

James Franco is no stranger to playing real people on the big screen, so this latest casting news comes as no surprise. Variety reports that the actor is deep in talks to cameo as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner in the Amanda Seyfried-starring Linda Lovelace biopic, simply titled "Lovelace."
If cast, the Oscar nominee would be reunited with his "Howl" directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. The film follows the story of real-life porn star Lovelace, who rose to notoriety as the star of porn flick "Deep Throat." Franco potentially could be on set for the film for only one day, shooting a scene in which the film screens at the famed Playboy mansion and he, as Hefner, has a talk with Lovelace, real name Linda Boreman. »
Lucky 7 for ‘Fast and Furious’ Franchise: Following in the franchise footsteps of Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Hobbit, the sixth Fast and Furious film will be split into two parts. According to actor / producer Vin Diesel, “the studio said, ‘You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!’" (The Hollywood Reporter) Porn Players Added to Action: Shooting has begun on bio-pic Lovelace, starring Amanda Seyfried as the woman who shot to fame in porn classic Deep Throat, and Peter Sarsgaard as her husband. Just in time, Hank Azaria, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, and Bobby Cannavale have been added in supporting roles, and James Franco is still a possibility for a cameo as Hugh Hefner.
