Chuck Season 5 News: Will Casey Find Love?

The last season of Chuck has started filming and Comic Con gave some hints as to what we can expect from season 5 (for Clarissa's full report head here). TVLine has just announced some more big casting news that will have major consequences for John Casey (Adam Baldwin). Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss will be guest starring in a multi-episode arc as both a rival and a love interest for Casey. Warning spoilers ahead.
Moss will be playing Gertrude Verbanski, a former spy who also runs a private firm 'Verbanski Corp'. This company happens to be the biggest competitor to Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah's (Yvonne Strahovski) new business venture. This is the Pure Movies review for The Mechanic, directed by Simon West and starring Jason Statham, Ben Foster, Tony Goldwyn, Donald Sutherland, Jeff Chase, Mini Anden, James Logan and Eddie J. Fernandez. This may well be a remake of the classic 1972 Michael Winner film that had the rather grander Us title of Killer of Killers, and starred mean machine Charles Bronson, but when The Mechanic has Jason Statham in the lead, it’s another Transporter film, whichever way you (cynically) look at it. Good news for Statham fans, and fans of shoot/blow-em-up kung-fu-lery because it has all those exciting and well-staged elements done in an erratic and on-the-clock fashion, leaving out important plot-developments along the way, as though they’re irrelevant because the Statham stunt choreography and physique will distract any nitpickers. »

Maxim magazine has revealed the 11th annual Hot 100 list, which selects the world's most beautiful women. Topping the list is "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, which she called "a huge honor." "Rosie is a true transformer . a Vs stunner who is about to go supernova when she takes over for Megan Fox in the 'Transformers' franchise . her talent is as undeniable as her beauty, which is pretty jaw-droppingly undeniable," said Maxim. The editors of the June 2011 issue of "Maxim" magazine have chosen European model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, co-star of the upcoming DreamWorks' sequel "Transformers: Dark of the Moon", as their Number 1 pick for the 'World's Most Beautiful Woman' celebrity, in a list of 100 :
"Rosie is a true 'transformer'," said "Maxim" Editor in Chief Joe Levy. "A stunner who is about to go supernova when she takes over for Megan Fox in the 'Transformers' franchise.

Transformers 3 Star Tops Maxim’s Hot 100

No sooner do we get tired of thumbing through the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue than Maxim gets temperatures rising with their annual Hot 100 issue. Coming to newsstands next week, we learn that model turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely has been crowed the top hot babe. She displaces Megan Fox, who tumbles to #17, in this summer’s not-eagerly-awaited Transformers: Dark of the Moon and has become the new It girl (at least this month). Huntingon-Whiteley tells Maxim that being named number one “is a huge honor. It’s a great title to have for a year and you can have some fun with it, I think.”
The 100 is listed below and since hotness is in the eye of the beholder, we will all have our quibbles with the order, inclusion or absence of our personal favorites. Me, I have issues with many in the top 10 alone.

The annual Maxim Hot 100 list has been released. Victoria's Secret model and star of "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon" Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been named the no. 1 hot chick in America.
Other notables on the list: The newly-married Duchess of Cambridge Catherine Middleton came in at no. 26, the CW got some love with Leighton Meester (no. 16), Aly Michalka (no. 66) and Lyndsy Fonseca (no. 89) - but no Blake Lively. Even "Jersey Shore" got a shout-out, with J-Woww's inclusion at no. 78.
"Harry Potter" and "Twilight" were represented by Emma Watson (no. 69) and Ashley Greene (no. 53). Funny ladies Cobie Smulders (no. 9), Kaley Cuoco (no. 13), Emma Stone (no. 42), Anna Faris (no. 44) and Alison Brie (no. 49) all made the list and "Glee" got some love for Lea Michele (no. 28) and Naya Rivera (no. 43), but no Heather Morris or Dianna Agron. There's a party at Tony Enright's (Paul Blackthorne) mansion and one woman is attacked, Jesse's (Eddie Cibrian) 'friend' Anna, (Mini Anden) whilst another is killed inside. Nosferatu (1922) plays on TV. Horatio (David Caruso) knows who Tony is and what he did in La. (Hence the title.) Tony was acquitted of his wife's murder. He has ink on his hand and the woman was killed with a pen. He's a pornographer. Horatio: "Well then roll credits, that's a wrap." Walter (Omar Miller) wonders what kind of party this was. Calleigh (Emily Procter) checks out the murder weapon. Walter finds a bug, someone listened in to the murder. Anna tells Natalia (Eva Larue) the Vic was in Tony's films. Natalia recalls Anna from before (episode ??) Anna doesn't see Jesse as a friend and says he stalked her all the way from La because of Tony. But that was for her own good. »

Reese Witherspoon has officially become a married woman once again. Representative for the "Water for Elephants" actress confirmed that she has tied the knot with her entertainment agent fiance, Jim Toth, on Saturday evening, March 26 in a 20-minute private ceremony at her ranch estate in Ojai, California.
35-year-old Reese walked down the aisle to "Here Comes the Bride", while 40-year-old Jim arrived to the processional music of "Tennessee Waltz". The nuptials, which saw the couple exchanging wedding bands designed by jeweler William Goldberg, was officiated by Reverend Jimmy Bartz, Us Magazine reported.
People Magazine additionally detailed that the ceremony started a bit late and was preceded with a pre-wedding cocktail hour. Reese and Jim swapped vows in front of her children, Ava and Deacon, as well as about 100 guests, that included Renee Zellweger, Alyssa Milano, Tobey Maguire, Salma Hayek and Robert Downey Jr. with his wife Susan.

HollywoodNews.com: Jake Gyllenhaal apparently didn’t seem too bothered about Reese Witherspoon marrying Jim Toth yesterday as he kept busy with friends and a very special model.
Gyllenhaal reportedly went bowling last night with friends at Spare Room in Los Angeles, states UsMagazine.com. And while he spent a good amount of time hanging with just his friends, he also reportedly tried his luck with a Swedish model.
The actor was allegedly spotted trying to get close to Mini Anden with his hand on her back. It also reportedly appeared like he was trying teach her a thing or two about bowling in an attempt to show off a little.

Ryan (Jonathan Togo) moonlights as a security guard and looks at the tank containing jellyfish. When asked by the other security man if he's doing his job, Ryan remarks, "...feel at ten grand a plate there aren't many murderers" at the charity event. The security man spots a 'bad man' because of his moves, "like he's stalking prey." Referring to Jesse (Eddie Cibrian). So Jesse's character could have gone either way at this point in the season, he could either have been all bad or all good and no shades of grey in between. Ryan asks for ID from Jesse. Ryan says Jesse, "looks gorgeous in your tux." Hey, Ryan didn't know you felt that way, ha. Jesse watches a woman and then denies he knows her, but Ryan insists she knows Jesse. A man hangs over the balcony above the tank and falls into the jellyfish, which pounce and kill him. »

That's two standalone episodes of "Chuck" in a row now, and they've made for a nice palate cleanser before the bigger arcs pick back up next week.
Like last week's "Chuck vs. the Seduction Impossible," "Chuck vs. the C.A.T. Squad" was a lot of fun, as we met the former members of Sarah's all-female, all-gorgeous spy team. But while the big spy stuff has been on hold, both episodes have given us some great insight into Sarah's struggles to step into the real world and her problems dealing with the past.
Plus, high comedy (and also some real sweetness) from Morgan, which is pretty much never a bad thing.

Simon West’s remake of Michael Winner’s 1972 film is by no means a worn-out hand-me-down and The Mechanic may easily be able to boast the title of ‘West’s best’ since Con Air. The opening sequence follows protagonist Arthur Bishop (the inside-out Bond/action star Jason Statham) on a silent operation where we get our first taste of just how a professional assassin – aka a mechanic – operates. On the heels of ABC announcing plans for a Charlie's Angels remake this fall, Chuck producer Chris Fedak says his show is about to "pay homage" to this classic series.
On February 14, look for Mini Anden to reprise her role as Sarah’s former spy pal, Carina Miller. She won't arrive on the scene alone, either, as Fedak tells Michael Ausiello viewers can expect "a wild bunch" when Mercedes Masöhn and Mircea Monroe also guest star and form "The Cat Squad."
Elsewhere: Isaiah Mustafa and Stacy Keibler will return later this season as Greta, as Fedak promises the series “will explain what the whole Greta thing is about.”
