With a release less than two weeks away, developer CD Projekt Red has released a new video diary for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which pulls back the curtain on some of the monsters and enemies that you’ll fight in-game.
This developer diary, which you can watch above, details some of the design and gameplay decisions the development team decided to implement, along with the task of creating monsters by carefully blending fantasy with realism.
This process is detailed by character artist Bill Daly, while gameplay designer Damien Monnier and animator Jamie Bury discuss how Geralt will track down and eliminate the creatures within The Witcher 3’s vast world. You can also catch a glimpse of Geralt taking on flying Harpies and underwater Drowners.

For the second time in less than two months, we saw one of our TV heroes, Bob Newhart, live in person. We were thrilled to see Bob present the Impact Award to the cast of Everybody Loves Raymond at the TV Land Awards this past Saturday.
During the presentation, he talked about the luck of finding the perfect chemistry in a cast. He spoke of Darryl and his other brother Darryl like they were (real) old friends, and recalled the first time he met them.
We recently edited an interview with Bob that he did with the Archive of American Television. During the piece he talked about admiring and respecting all the actors he worked with on his two network TV shows — The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart.
In this clip, he talks about casting The Bob Newhart Show with Suzanne Pleshette, Bill Daly, Marcia Wallace, and the gang. Truly...

Irish President Mary McAleese hailed the long association between Ireland and Hollywood while highlighting the latest round of financial boosts for filming in Ireland during a state visit to Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank on Monday night.
McAleese included her Hollywood visit as part of a larger California tour to boost Ireland's profile on the West Coast. The event at Warner Bros. was organized by the Irish Film Board and Enterprise Ireland. McAleese quipped that so popular have Hollywood films been in Ireland for so long that she suspected her children would prefer her to be president of Warner Bros. rather than president of Ireland.
Jonathan Loughran of the Irish Film Board's Los Angeles office noted that the presidential visit came at an important and exciting time for the Irish film industry.
