The "unauthorized" story behind all your favorite Nineties television shows will soon be fodder for Lifetime films as the network has announced plans to bring a TV movie about Beverly Hills 90210 to the small screen. Lifetime's latest dip in schlocky, nostalgic-soaked programming comes on the heels of their 2014 hit The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story and the upcoming movie about the making of Full House.

Lifetime has green-lit an unauthorized 90210 tell-all film, The Hollywood Reporter writes. The movie will be in the same vein as the network's 2014 Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story and forthcoming Full House project. Jeff Roda (Love Liza) is writing for helmer Vanessa Parise (PopFan), and will pen a script that promises to reveal the stress behind the series' up-and-down first four seasons, the reason it became a pop-culture powerhouse, and the drama that shook the show's personnel. (Yep, get ready for some juice from the real Peach Pit, because nothing is sacred.) “The Unauthorized ‘Beverly Hills, 90210′ Story” will follow the “roller coaster ride” of the series, highlighting the drama between cast members Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling and producers both on and off set. The telepic will follow the show’s ups and downs from many near-cancellations to achieving pop culture phenomenon status and creating international A-listers.
As always, the makeover will not feature original cast members, but all-new actors portraying the original stars. This summer’s “Unauthorized ‘Full House’ Story,” which bows Aug. 22, recently released its first cast photo.

Break out the scrunchies and the quilted vests — Lifetime has chosen Beverly Hills, 90210 as the latest classic TV show to spawn a behind-the-scenes, tell-all movie, TVLine has confirmed.
The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story will “show the roller coaster ride of the program’s first four seasons, highlighting the drama between cast members and producers both on and off-set,” according to the network — and will chart its several near-cancellations and eventual “massive success and imprint in the cultural zeitgeist.”

The partners have announced the start of production in Victoria, British Columbia, on the teenage heroin addiction drama.
Production is set to run through February 22 with Bella Thorne in the lead as Amanda, a former star high school dancer who succumbed to drug abuse.

“Perfect High” follows a star high school dancer, Amanda (Thorne), who begins taking prescription painkillers for a knee injury, which turns into dangerous habit of sharing pills with friends, lying and stealing to fund her drug habit. This eventually leads to addiction when she’s tricked into using heroin via pills disguised as cheap painkillers.
Thorne starred in “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” alongside Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner, and “Blended” with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. She also appears in the upcoming movie “The Duff.”
