Linkin Park Pays Tribute to Chester Bennington Upon Accepting Favorite Alternative Rock Artist Award at AMAs
Linkin Park made an emotional appearance at the 2017 American Music Awards when they accepted the award for favorite alternative rock artist.

Rob Bourdon, Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson took the stage on Sunday night, and dedicated their award to the band's late frontman, Chester Bennington, who died in July. He was 41.

"First of all, thank you so much to all the fans here and around the world who voted for the band, who have supported the band through thick and thin," Shinoda, Linkin Park's co-founder said.

Chester Bennington Won't Let Injuries Affect Linkin Park's Tour

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington will start the band's U.S. tour injured. The singer with the "The Catalyst" group has not been able to warm up for shows with his usual rigorous workout because he's still suffering from "stupid" ailments he sustained last year, but promised this will not stop him from giving his all.

"I tore a ligament in my left hand last year, playing basketball at Chuck E. Cheese, which is like a pizza place for kids," he told The Pulse of Radio. "I injured my back a few years ago, that's been acting up. The last show in Australia, I bent over to pack my bags and I tore a little bit of my back again. Linkin Park's Brand New Song to Be Unveiled in Video Game

A new Linkin Park video game has been created and is promised to be launched sometime soon. In order to satisfy their fans, the band's members Chester Bennington, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, Mr. Hahn and Mike Shinoda have teamed up with the design team to create the look and content of the game.

"In the game, you have been chosen by the rebellion to solve a mystery," Shinoda opened up on his official blog. "Items have been stolen from the six leaders of the rebellion. Collecting these items is the rebellion's only hope to thwarting the plans of the evil PixxelKorp."

The prize for those winning the game, which will be made available in iPhone and iPod touch, is more than just a credit screen. The player will be treated with the band's brand new song which title is yet to be disclosed.

Linkin Park's Song for 'Transformers 2' Peeked Through In-Studio Footage

How Linkin Park's new song for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" soundtrack will sound like is partially uncovered through a video footage showing the band working on the track in studio. It features Rob Bourdon playing drums and Chester Bennington standing behind the mic.

Linkin Park's song for the Shia Labeouf-starring movie is titled "New Divide". Claimed to "perfectly match the film's intensity," the track is confirmed to be released on radios worldwide on May 18 and will be available for download on iTunes on the particular day.

Beside having Linkin Park crafting one of its songs, the movie's soundtrack also has composers Steve Jablonsky and Bobby Tahouri involved in the project. Furthermore, electronic music act Julien-k reportedly is on board to score the film's music, and Robert Epps' depicter, Tyrese Gibson, plans to make a contribution to it.
