Mumbai, May 25: Vivek Oberoi not only stays away from tobacco, he also avoids passive smoking and says that when someone smokes on the movie sets, he leaves that place.
"There is absolutely no smoking allowed on my sets. If anyone smokes, I always leave the set and go out," Vivek told reporters Friday at an event to celebrate the World No Tobacco Day, which is on May 31. It was organised by Cancer Patients Aid Association (Cpaa).

Shilpa Shetty, who recently enjoyed her baby shower on 4th May, has given birth to a baby boy at Hinduja Healthcare Surgical Hospital in Khar earlier today.
The actress who has been married to businessman Raj Kundra for three years welcomed their first baby together with the whole family present. A source revealed to Toi, “Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra was by Shilpa’s side fromt he beginning till the time she was admitted till her delivery at the break of dawn.” As well as adding, “Raj and his family and Shilpa’s entire family, including mother Sunanda and sister Shamita were present.”

But he is also a maverick who seldom cares about box office collections, or sticking to formula filmmaking and makes the films he wants to make. For many this has resulted in his films being part of their ‘all time favorite film lists’. So which category will Department fall into? Will you love it? Or will you hate it?
The man who has excelled with directing underworld and gangster films (Satya, Company) now brings you Department, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati in principle roles. The whole genre by nature is limiting and can be one dimensional, even in Hollywood only once in a while does a really good gangster film come along. So my expectations are limited from the outset and the benchmark for me is Rgv’s own films of the same genre. »

The movie is based on the Gujarat underworld and will be shot on a start-to-finish 50 days schedule in Jaipur where huge set has been put up for the mammoth big-budget venture. Apart from this schedule the songs in the movie will be shot in Mumbai.

Vivek Oberoi is constantly in the news these days as he is working on five films currently namely Kismat Luv Paisa Dilli, Masti sequel, Krrish 3, Zilla Ghaziabad and Jayantabhai. Well, now we hear that Vivek has signed another film with Sanjay Dutt that will be produced by Ashtavinayak. Life has indeed come back full circle for Vivek Oberoi as he completes one decade in the industry. It was on April 12, 2002 when his debut film Company had hit the screens and while a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, Vivek is content that he is happy to be standing on his feet and still smiling away.
"Company had released exactly 10 years back and so much has happened ever since then. Vivek has practically seen the best and the worst in the years gone by but thankfully marriage has brought certain stability in his life. He is much calmer and composed than before and thankfully controversies surrounding him have also died down.
