Movie Review – Precious Cargo (2016)

13 July 2016 8:00 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Precious Cargo, 2016.

Directed by Max Adams.

Starring Bruce Willis, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Claire Forlani, Jenna B. Kelly and Daniel Bernhardt.

Synopsis:

Skilled thief Jack, on the verge of leaving his criminal world behind, is drawn by pregnant ex-lover Karen into a battle against vicious crime boss Eddie, who wants her dead…

If there was one question ringing through my mind by the end of Precious Cargo, it was this: when is Bruce Willis going to fire his agent? That’s perhaps a tad harsh on Max Adams’ debut feature as both writer and director, as it’s not quite as bad as some of the dross Brucey has lowered himself to over the last few years, but equally this action movie isn’t nearly as thrilling, exciting or knockabout as it professes to be. For a start, while it trades off Willis’ mega star wattage, Adams’ film probably only has about »

Precious Cargo review: “A brave but uneventful romp…”

8 July 2016 1:10 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Precious Cargo review: Zack Morris and John McClane together at last in this direct-to-dvd film that has snuck into cinemas. Precious Cargo review

Bruce Willis! How do you feel about that name? It’s one that has changed its meaning and sound throughout the years. From sitcom star to unexpected action hero, to taking on challenging prestige roles in the late 90s, Willis hasn’t exactly become stale. Recently however he has given his name to small budget action films, showed up, read his lines, and seen them go straight to DVD or streaming. This isn’t surprising however as the movie star as we know it is pretty much dead. Willis still impresses when he gets into original and challenging material such as Moonrise Kingdom, or Looper, but why not earn a buck on the side?

Precious Cargo isn’t exactly the dream outing anybody was waiting for. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, »

Bruce Willis Stars in Bank Heist Thriller 'Marauders' Official Trailer

1 June 2016 3:47 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Safety deposit boxes are were people keep their dirt." Lionsgate Premiere has debuted a trailer for a new bank heist thriller called Marauders, which once again takes inspiration from Heat and features men in masks robbing banks (like so many other thrillers recently). Bruce Willis stars as the owner of the bank, with a group of FBI agents thinking he's the mastermind behind it. The cast also includes Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista and Adrian Grenier, with Lydia Hull and Tyler Jon Olson. This looks okay, with some wimpy action and cheesy dialogue. But I'm intrigued to find out what's going on. Anyone else? Here's the first official trailer for Steven C. Miller's Marauders, direct from Lionsgate's YouTube: When a bank is hit by a brutal heist, all evidence points to the owner (Bruce Willis) and his high-powered clients. But as a group of FBI agents (Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista »

"The rich will pay." That's the tagline of "Marauders," a new crime thriller starring Bruce Willis as a 1 percenter, but it probably doesn't mean the rich will pay for your ticket to see this movie. But, you know, maybe if you ask nicely?

‘Extraction’ DVD Review

I have a love/hate relationship with Bruce Willis these days. On the one hand he stars in films I love such as the Red, G.I. Joe and The Expendables; and on the other he appears in direct to market dross like The Prince, Set-Up and Vice. Now don’t get me wrong, some of the direct to DVD titles Willis has appeared in are pretty good, Fire With Fire for example, but he’s been batting way below average on the Dtv front recently.

"Sometimes things just don't work out." Lionsgate has debuted a trailer for the action-packed heist thriller Precious Cargo, directed by Max Adams, starring Bruce Willis as the villain. He plays a crime boss who hires a thief but then double crosses him and then gets tangled up in a big showdown. There's lots of action, it looks pretty good if you just want to see some solid action, but I'm not sure about the rest of it. The full cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Claire Forlani, John Brotherton, Lydia Hull, Daniel Bernhardt, Ashley Kirk and Nick Loeb. I hope this is actually as fun as the trailer makes it look. Enjoy.
