The Digable Planets, a New York-based group that formed in the early nineties, are one of hip hop's pioneers. They were among the first groups to be featured on Yo,MTV Raps and they helped instill a rich sense of Jazz infusion into the genre.
Shortly after the release of their second album, titled Blowout Comb (1994), they called it quits, and fans worldwide were left to question the breakup. In 2005, the group reunited and started doing live shows again. They are currently on their third tour since the reunion.
On October 14th the Digable Planets came into Chicago’s Park West Theater and proved that they still have the chemistry and charisma that gave them street credibility in the nineties.
