At one of talent-contests in 1997, she sang "That's what it takes" and
was discovered there by Patrick Renier. He teamed her up with
songwriter/producer Jim Soulier (the two are known as Pat and Jim) and
gave her the artist name Belle Perez.
She discovered her singing talent during her flamenco and
dancing-lessons, which she had been taking from the age of 5.
Belle started working as a secretary in a Dutch crane-rental company.
She is fluent in Dutch, German, French, Spanish and English.
