Bonnie Raitt turned Inxs' "Need You Tonight" into a gritty blues tune on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday.
Alongside her band, Raitt scuffed up the new wave sheen of the 1987 original with a swampy groove, while delivering a throaty vocal performance still smokey enough to be reminiscent of Michael Hutchence's sultry hush. Of course, Raitt also laced the song with a bevy of slide licks and traded solos with guitarist George Marinelli and keyboardist Mike Finnigan.
