Former member of The Tarriers and The Rooftop Singers.
Grew up in Canandaigua, New York.
After leaving The Weavers, he formed The Rooftop Singers. They had a 1960s pop hit with "Walk Right In", a song originally recorded in 1929 by Gus Cannon's Jug Stompers.
He was a master of the 12-string guitar and banjo.
He joined The Weavers when Pete Seeger left for a solo career and spent four years with them.
