"Trailer Park Boys" Cut A New Movie Deal

2 November 2012 12:33 PM, PDT | SneakPeek | See recent SneakPeek news »

Trailer Park Productions and Halifax' Topsail Productions report that a third dopey "Trailer Park Boys" feature film will start production March 2013, starring John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells and Mike Smith, directed by Tpb creator Mike Clattenburg.

"We are all extremely pleased to be working together again on another 'Trailer Park Boys' film," said producer Barrie Dunn of Topsail, who also plays the father of 'Ricky'. "Although it's been four years since our last film, 'Ricky', 'Julian' and 'Bubbles' are as popular as ever, even expanding internationally, and we're delighted to bring them back to the big screen."

"Trailer Park Boys" began as a short film in 1998, spinning off into a Showcase TV series for 7 seasons. "Trailer Park Boys: The Movie" was released in 2006, followed by "Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day", released in 2009.

The HeyUGuys UK DVD/Blu-Ray Release Round-Up – 11th June

11 June 2012 6:00 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Last week brought Ralph Fiennes’ directorial debut to the shelves in Coriolanus, in which he starred as the eponymous lead alongside Gerard Butler, as well as the likes of Michael Dowse’s Goon, and Madonna’s W.E.

This week has, as ever, a fantastic new selection of films and TV programmes available for purchase from today, including three of my all-time favourite TV programmes. On top of that, there’s an Oscar winner, an Oscar nominee, and one film that everyone was talking about in the run-up to the awards season but was noticeably absent when the Academy Award nominees were announced in January.

My personal picks of the week:

With so much choice, I was forced to divide into two categories of film and TV this week:

James Bobbins’ The Muppets     &     Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar

Entourage Season 8,     Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8     &     One Tree Hill Season 9

The Real Meaning of Khan’s Wrath in Star Trek

16 March 2012 4:36 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

This year marks an important anniversary in the Star Trek universe as Trekkies celebrate the 45th anniversary of the broadcast of the original series (Tos) episode “Space Seed” which first brought us Khan Noonien Singh. It also marks the 30th anniversary of the Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan motion picture, which many believe saved the Star Trek franchise.

Following the rather slow Star Trek: The Motion Picture, which, according to Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory, failed across the board in terms of art direction, music, and writing, Khan offered a powerful and charismatic bad guy for Kirk and his crew. For those who may not know, Khan, played by Ricardo Montalban, was a super-human from the late 20th century who possessed superior strength and intelligence as a result of genetic engineering. Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew encountered Khan and a few other super-humans when they come »

Archer 3.06 "The Limited" Review

Archer 3.06 "The Limited" Review

Archer rolls along with its latest from season 3, or technically season 3.5 with "The Limited," as Archer, Lana and the rest of Isis board a train to Canada to escort a deadly terrorist back to the authorities.  And if you don't love "The Limited," we might have to send a few ocelots your way.

I won’t even bother waiting to tell you, or detailing my history with watching and enjoying Archer, “The Limited” represents to date the most I’ve enjoyed the show this season, possibly of all three.  Last week’s Archer “El Contador” wasn’t a bad episode by any means, nor was the season 3 (or 3.5) premiere “The Man From Jupiter,” but it’s “The Limited” that keeps all of the series’ best aspects working in a perfect harmony, particularly by keeping its cast together for the adventure without any distracting celebrity guest stars. »
