The struggle to catch Osama Bin Laden has been a long time coming for many CIA counter-terror agents, and on 60 Minutes last night, one former official explained to Lara Logan the frustrating process of targeting and finding Bin Laden in Afghanistan in 1999, barely taking precautions to cover himself, and receiving only bureaucratic obstacles from the Clinton White House when asking for authorization to kill him. »

CBS’s 60 Minutes, which after 44 years, continues to land in the top ranks of TV ratings, appears to be overcoming the perception that its audience is mostly composed of doddering oldtimers — a perception that has kept its ad rates low despite the high ratings. The New York Times reported on Sunday that in the current season, the number of viewers in the 25-54 age group has risen 6 percent while the number of total viewers has remain the same. In an interview with the newspaper, Jeff Fager, the show’s executive producer, Jeff Fager, who is also chairman of CBS News, said, “It’s hard in television to grow from year to year. … [For us] to do it this season with younger viewers, for a news broadcast, is particularly gratifying.” Fager, the Times observed, has been bringing in younger contributors such as Anderson Cooper, 44, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta, 42, and has upped Lara Logan, »

The cast of the classic mid-'70s sitcom "One Day At A Time" got together for a reunion Friday on "Good Morning America" (weekdays, 9 a.m. Et on ABC).
The show, which presented a light-hearted look at the lives of a divorced mother living with her two teenage daughters, ran for nine seasons and never shied away serious topics. "The truth of the matter was, we were reflecting what was out there; it had just never been on television before," Bonnie Franklin, who played mother Ann Romano, told "Gma."
"One Day At A Time" also launched the careers of Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli, who went in remarkably different directions after their time on the show.
Phillips, who played the rebellious daughter Julie Cooper, has spent years struggling with drug and alcohol abuse that began when she was a young girl. "My story is no different than any other kid »

Steven Tyler has no regrets over laying down the law when it comes to Aerosmith. In a profile to air on Sunday's edition of 60 Minutes, the frontman and American Idol judge refuses to apologize when CBS' Lara Logan presses him on his behavior toward bandmates Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer. (When Tyler wasn't around, they filled her in on his obsessive personality and mean streak.) "You know what? I’m going to be big-headed right now, Ok?" Tyler responded. "I think my perfectionism and my busting everyone’s chops is what got this band to

It's been over fifty years since Edward R. Murrow walked the corridors of CBS, his mother ship network for decades of highbrow radio and television broadcasting. The Murrow reputation for putting quality content before network profit makes his shadow loom large as the patron saint of American broadcast journalism. His programs include See It Now, in which he eviscerated the junior senator from Wisconsin, Joseph McCarthy, as well as his last CBS Special Report, Harvest of Shame, where he spoke to the American conscience about the plight of the migrant worker. Another popular Murrow-hosted program was Person to Person, the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous meets Entertainment Tonight of its day. It had enough fluff to feed a Girl Scout troop. Murrow had earned enough serious credentials in his career to pull off the puffy celeb beat without being in danger of demoting his brand.

George Clooney agreed to let TV cameras into his Hollywood home for the first time when he discovered the big reveal would be part of a revamped version of Edward R. Murrow's show Person To Person.
David Strathairn, as newsman Murrow, 'interviewed' pianist Liberace for the programme as part of Clooney's film Good Night, And Good Luck and the movie star is thrilled the series has been brought back by CBS bosses.
Clooney gave Charlie Rose and Lara Logan a guided tour of his house, which he bought from singer Stevie Nicks in 1995, revealing, "It's just a fun place to be."
In the show, which airs in America on Wednesday, the Oscar nominee also talked about his 2012 health kick with the hosts as he showed off the contents of his refrigerator.
He explained, "There's some lady that makes salads for me and I eat salads and some sort of juice thing because one of my New Year's Eve resolutions was to eat better and to sort of do one of these cleanses." »

It’s been almost a year since CBS News correspondent Lara Logan was horrifically beaten and sexually assaulted by a group of men in Egypt. The tragic attack took place while Logan and her CBS crew were in Cairo’s Tahrir Square to cover the fall of Hosni Mubarek’s dictatorship. But the unimaginable horrors that happened to Logan (she recalled to 60 Minutes the hell she endured on that February night) haven’t stopped her. Not from being a journalist or a Mom or a survivor.

Given the horrific sexual assault she survived at the hands of a mob in Cairo, Egypt, it's no surprise Lara Logan is still dealing with the aftermath. The CBS News correspondent has revealed that she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and that memories of the incident continue to haunt her nearly a year after the Feb. 11 attack. More: Lara Logan Released From Hospital in "Remarkably Good Spirits" "People don't really know that much about [post-traumatic stress disorder]," she told the New York Daily News. "There's something called latent Ptsd. It manifests itself in different ways. I want to be free of it, but I'm not." The 40-year-old journalist said »
