The NCIS cast is expanding again!
Esposito was last a regular in the ABC summer series, Mistresses, to which she did not return this year.
Esposito's character on NCIS will be Special Agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn, an experienced agent who left field work and became an instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center.
Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will lure her back into the field as part of his team, where he will take advantage of her sharp wit, quick mind and immense talent as a federal agent.
The character will be introduced on NCIS Season 14 Episode 1, the season premiere, on September 20.

NCIS is going to try to return to basics for season 14. The end of season 13 of this popular CBS series saw the departure of Michael Weatherly, and the potential addition of two new faces to the team. Gary Glasberg still needs to figure out how Sarah Clarke's FBI agent Tess Monroe and Duane Henry's Mi-6 agent Clayton Reeves fit in the action on the drama.

In the last two episodes of NCIS season 13, FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe (played by Sarah Clarke) was introduced to fans as one of the two replacements for "Very Special" Agent Tony Dinozzo. It goes without saying that no one can fill Tony's shoes. Adding new characters to beloved shows can be notoriously difficult (right, Bishop?) Tess, who transferred over from the New York counter-terrorism department three months ago, definitely made her presence known when she met the team.
So has NCIS found a worthy replacement for Tony? Not so fast! We haven't had a lot of time to get to know Tess, but so far, I am less than impressed. »

Last time on NCIS, we got to know FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe (played by Sarah Clarke) and MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (played by Duane Henry) as they worked with the team to capture British spy Jacob Scott. In this case, they found Scott in the elevator at NCIS headquarters -- surrendering and saying that he was innocent. It turned out that the murderer was actually evil former (and recently fired) CIA Agent Trent Kort, and he framed Scott to take the fall. Kort was selling secrets to the Russians, then told the Russians that one of their own, Nika Razin, was leaking intelligence. Razin, who was Scott's wife, was shot before NCIS and MI6 could apprehend her. Scott was arrested for selling American nuclear intelligence to Russia.

NCIS might be saying goodbye to Michael Weatherly next week (yes, you might want to stock up your tissues now), but it's welcoming two new faces this week that will hopefully stick around for a while. Tonight's episode introduces Tess Monroe and Clayton Reeves, the FBI and MI6 agents, respectively, who are collaborating with the NCIS team on the case they've all been chasing: an escaped British spy who is targeting agents all over the world. This storyline will not only bring in the new faces, played by Sarah Clarke and Duane Henry, but Tony will also find himself involved as his exit grows closer. "It not only [sent] our team to England [last week], but it brings the manhunt to the United »
The NCIS team might be down one after next week (Missing you already, Michael Weatherly!), but the show is bringing in two new characters on Tuesday to help with a worldwide investigation—and they could wind up sticking around even longer than these last two episodes of season 13. “Humor, heart and heroics” have been the hallmarks of Michael Weatherly‘s 13-year NCIS run, as detailed in this highlight/preview reel for the original cast member’s final two episodes as “Very Special Agent” Tony Dinozzo.

There’s something subliminally wicked about the way director Garry Marshall is meticulously smashing our national holidays to pieces, one ensemble romcom at a time. First, it was the supremely boring Valentine’s Day; then, the slapped-together, time-wasting New Year’s Eve.
Now, Marshall casts his hammer down on Mother’s Day with (you guessed it) Mother’s Day, yet another epic waste of time, money, and perfectly good onscreen talent. It follows the same format of the previous films in Marshall’s diabolical holiday series and, as a result, inherits the same litany of disastrous problems that plagued its predecessors. There may be too many issues to mention here, but the most pervading one is the movie’s lack of any real laughs. The jokes are broad, lazy, and speak to a section of the country that still finds the notion of treating gays and minorities equals “edgy.”

Thus far, we know that the original cast member’s final episode is titled “Family First” and it revolves around the just-launched manhunt for Jacob Scott, the Mi-6 black sheep who is targeting NCIS agents past and present, former director Tom Morrow (played by Alan Dale) being his first victim.
