Mini Biography

Mick Roughan was born in Mt Isa, Queensland in 1962. From the age 13 he began his career as a Rodeo Cowboy, competing in Bull Riding at a National Level. It was through Rodeo that he got his introduction into stunts, acting and film. In 1992 he auditioned and was successful in becoming a cast member of "The Western Action Stunt Show" and "Maverick, The Grand Illusion Show" at Warner Bros Movie World. During his time there he performed in over 10,000 live shows. With a natural aptitude for acting and performing he pursued every opportunity to work in film and television and has an impressive resume of credits. He has exceptional talent and calming influence with horses, with a special passion for training young horses. He has also gained considerable experience as a stunt rigger, under the guidance of Australia's premiere internationally acclaimed stunt rigger, Kier Beck.

Mick Roughan competed as a Bull Rider for 19 years on the Australian Professional Rodeo Circuit.
