Mini Biography

Shortly after arriving in Los Angeles, Sunny had her film debut in Revolution Studios' The New Guy (2002), co-starring with Zooey Deschanel. She went on to team with Samuel L. Jackson twice, once as his enemy (alongside Willem Dafoe and Ice Cube) in xXx: State of the Union (2005), directed by Lee Tamahori and produced by Neal H. Moritz, and then, again, in New Line's campy thriller, Snakes on a Plane (2006), directed by David R. Ellis. Sunny also starred in the poignant and moving independent film, One Last Thing... (2005), joining Ethan Hawke, Michael Angarano, Michael Rispoli, Gina Gershon, and Cynthia Nixon to play the role of an embittered supermodel faced with the last wish of a terminally ill young boy. Directed by Alex Steyermark, this film debuted at the 2006 Toronto Film Festival. She has taken on more leading roles in indie films including Not Since You (2009), Repo (2010), A Midsummer Night's Rave (2002) and Pet Peeves (2009). Sunny has starred in many TV shows as well, one of the latest being Tony Shalhoub's USA series, "Monk" (2002). Others include the ABC series, "Desperate Housewives" (2004), the CBS comedy series, "Rules of Engagement" (2007), and the FOX medical drama, "House M.D." (2004). Her most recent guest appearance is on the popular AMC drama, "Mad Men" (2007), premiering it's third season in August, 2009. Sunny also fronts a rock band by the name of Coda Krome, a collaboration she started in 2003 with her husband and fellow actor/musician, Ethan Embry. The quintet released their first EP in 2008, and continue to write, record and perform regularly.
