Prison Break Season 5 Sneak Peek Reunites The Gang For Another Escape

12 August 2016 3:12 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Prison Break originally aired over a decade ago. That alone makes it ripe for the revival treatment like every other series that was once successful. But we’re still months away from witnessing Michael Schofield and co. try to break in and out of yet another penitentiary in season 5.

To get us re-acquainted with the show, and to remind everyone that it’s still a thing, the network has issued another tantalizing little featurette. The show isn’t due to arrive until 2017, making it quite surprising that there’s so many specifics about the plot given away in this 90-second clip. Still, we all suspected that Michael would return from the dead, didn’t we?

The show originally kicked off in 2005. It’s a thrilling, fun, and at times, far-fetched action series about Wentworth Miller’s brainy architect who gets himself locked up just so he can help his convicted brother escape. »

Movie Review – Criminal (2016)

15 April 2016 7:50 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Criminal, 2016.

Directed by Ariel Vromen.

Starring Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Gal Gadot, Tommy Lee Jones, Michael Pitt, Amaury Nolasco, Antje Traue, Alice Eve, Jordi Molla, Scott Adkins, Natalie Burn, Robert Davi, and Ryan Reynolds.

Synopsis:

In a last-ditch effort to stop a diabolical plot, a dead CIA operative’s memories, secrets, and skills are implanted into a death-row inmate in hopes the he will complete the operative’s mission.

At least Criminal makes it clear what kind of illogical, loopy brain-dead experience will unfold, as it begins with protagonist (more like sociopath recruited for a government experiment to do some good) Jericho (Kevin Costner in what is easily the most ugly, gruff, and violent role of his long-running acting career) narrating to the audience his creed, which is literally “You hurt me, I hurt you worse”. That’s the kind of screenwriting (one of its writers actually penned Michael Bay »

Will 'The Jungle Book' Be Another Big Box Office Win for Disney?

12 April 2016 9:53 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Batman v Superman's two-week run atop the box office came to an end last weekend as Universal's new comedy The Boss just barely beat it with $23.5 million. Unfortunately for The Boss, its reign looks to be quite short, with three newcomers hitting theaters this Friday, including Disney's highly-anticipated The Jungle Book, Warner Bros.' Barbershop: The Next Cut and Lionsgate's Criminal. According to the predictions from ToddMThatcher.com, The Jungle Book is looking to run away with a huge opening weekend win.

The Jungle Book is eyeing a debut of $74.6 million, as Barbershop: The Next Cut debuts in second with $23.1 million. Both The Boss ($13.5 million) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($11.1 million) will likely drop to third and fourth place, respectively, with Criminal rounding out the top 5 with $9.3 million. The Jungle Book has a huge edge over its competitors in terms of theater count and critical acclaim.
