MerceDesigns -- My name is Merce, a Scenic/Production Designer with BA and MFA in production design and member of IASTE Local 800. 10 years ago I created my own production design company, MerceDesigns, a company that designs for film, theater, music videos, and print. We create work that is provocative, elegant, innovative, and cost effective. Our television work is extensive. We Just wrapped several new shows for Food Network: SWEET GENIUS, NEXT FOOD NETWORK STAR, and RACHAEL RAY VS. GUY FIERI, plus a new show for Lifetime called CATWALK. We designed seasons 1 and 2 of NEWLYWEDS for ABC, as well as HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: GET IN THE PICTURE, and SHAQ VS. For VH1. We designed YOU’RE CUT OFF season’s 1 and 2 and SCOTT BAIO IS SINGLE AND 45. TV land commissioned SHE’S GOT THE LOOK and we just finished Bet’s SUNDAY BEST and FAMILY CREWS. After working on BIGGEST LOSER seasons 1-6, the Emmy wining ENDURANCE, DR. PHIL’S ROAD SHOW, and seasons 4-9 of HELL’S KITCHEN. THE PEOPLE SPEAK, a commission from producers Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Chris Moore headlined Bruce Springsteen, Morgan Freeman, Danny Glover, Josh Brolin, Viggo Morison, and Marissa Tomei. It aired on the History Channel 2009–2011. Clients include: Sony, Philips, Teen Magazine, Moby, Boys to Men. HUNGRY HEARTS, the latest of our eight independent features, won Best New Film at the Hollywood Film Festival. Commercials include Dolly Parton’s 9 TO 5, Philips Widescreen Television, the Salvation Army, and KB Homes.
