It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself? »

Suicide Squad director David Ayer says the Joker / Jason Todd rumour is ridiculous

27 July 2016 4:25 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

As it commonplace with superhero movies these days, Warner Bros.Suicide Squad movie has been surrounded by rumour and speculation from the moment it was first announced, with countless “scoops” from websites claiming to have the inside track on the film… the majority of which will be quietly swept under the carpet when the movie arrives in a little over a week from now.

During an interview with Wsvn-tv’s Chris Van Vliet (via THR), Suicide Squad helmer David Ayer was ssked what the most ridiculous rumour he’d heard during the making of the film, with the director responding: “That the Joker is Jason Todd. It ain’t the case. He’s not.”

The Joker / Jason Todd theory stems from Jared Leto’s Joker having a tattoo of a dead bird, along with the Robin costume glimpsed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which apparently has bullet holes »

Jared Leto: The Unlikely Triumphs of a Rock-Star Movie Star

27 July 2016 6:30 AM, PDT | Rollingstone.com | See recent Rolling Stone news »

Jared Leto is wearing a preposterous straw hat this morning, a gigantic, not-quite-a-sombrero thing he bought for seven bucks at a corner store. And why not? He's made it this far by committing fully, sometimes crazily, to everything in his life: Method acting, music-making, video directing, tech investing, not to mention the arts of being enigmatic, brainy and really, really good-looking. "I don't dabble," he says. "I dive in, 1,000 percent." So if he needs sun protection for a hike, of course he goes big. In any case, Leto recently turned 44 — "old, »

Looks like Batman may not be the only Justice League member in Suicide Squad

26 July 2016 1:26 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Warning. Potential spoilers for Suicide Squad follow…

We know that The Dark Knight is set to feature in Warner Bros.’ next DC Films offering Suicide Squad, but Batman may not be the only Justice League member set to make his second appearance on the big screen this year.

Having appeared briefly in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looks like Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen may also feature in Suicide Squad, with Comic Book noting the following shot from the trailer, featuring Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang:

The lightning bolts seen in the shot are very similar to those surrounding Ezra Miller’s Flash in the Justice League trailer, which arrived online this past weekend at the San Diego Comic-Con…

Given that Boomerang is one of the Flash’s Rogues, it would make sense for Barry Allen to make an appearance, particularly if we get any kind of backstory on the villain. »

The Flash Has a Cameo in Suicide Squad?

26 July 2016 8:47 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last weekend was a big one for DC Films and Warner Bros., as they certainly wowed the crowd with a look at their upcoming slate at Comic-Con. After faltering this past spring with the underwhelming release of Batman v Superman, the studios are attempting to redefined themselves with the next big installment in the Dceu, Suicide Squad. And while this super villain adventure boasts the largest ensemble yet seen in a superhero movie, it may have brought in another character fans weren't even expecting. Yes, after a few eagle eyed viewers studied the first trailer for Justice League, which dropped in Hall H, and the extended Suicide Squad trailer, it has been determined that Batman may not be the only hero putting in an appearance.

Suicide Squad features roughly half of Batman's iconic rogues gallery, and every character in the movie is said to have some type of history with the caped crusader. »

Suicide Squad Invades Hall H in Comic-Con Panel Video

25 July 2016 3:12 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

For the second year in a row, Warner Bros. brought the actors who portray the villainous Task Force X in Suicide Squad to San Diego Comic-Con as part of their massive Hall H panel. The cast and director David Ayer certainly didn't disappoint, debuting an extended trailer that features a new song from the soundtrack by Rick Ross. While we already showed you the trailer, today we have the full panel video from the Suicide Squad portion of this epic event, hosted by Aisha Tyler.

In less than two weeks, Suicide Squad will hit theaters, and if this comic book adaptation meets its box office projections from earlier this month, it could be a huge hit for Warner Bros. Box office analysts are predicting that the movie could open as high as $125 million, which is still below the studio's debut for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opened to quite dreadful reviews. »
