Telltale Games Brings Batman to The Nintendo Switch

Award-winning publisher and developer Telltale Games, in partnership with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, today launched Batman – The Telltale Series on Nintendo Switch in North America. The full first season is available both digitally and at retail for $39.99 Usd. All five episodes come already loaded on the retail cartridge. The game will also become available on Switch in Europe and Australia on November 17.

According to Executive Producer Sean O’Connor:

“This will be Telltale’s first Mature-rated title on the system, so we’re really excited not only to have our game on Switch but also to approach a new audience with a game we’re really proud of. We think our unique take on Batman is a great way to introduce Nintendo fans to Telltale’s style of storytelling. It’s also nice that returning fans will be able to experience the game on a console they can take with them everywhere.

Telltale Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have confirmed that Batman: The Telltale Series will launch on Nintendo Switch on November 14th in North America and November 17th in Europe and Australia.

Batman: The Telltale Series gives players the opportunity to role-play as both Bruce Wayne and Batman in a fresh take on Batman canon. Batman : The Telltale Series coming to Nintendo Switch next week

Telltale Games, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced that their hit title, Batman – The Telltale Series, will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on the 14th November in North America and 17th November in UK and Europe. The Switch version of the game will contain all 5 episodes and will be available digitally and physically from local retailers. As you probably already know, Batman – The Telltale Series puts players in the shoes of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne and his heroic alter-ego, Batman. Batman – The Telltale Series for iOS has also received a comprehensive update providing technical improvements that allow the game to be played on a larger range of iOS devices.

For people who grew up playing Kingdom Hearts, it sometimes feels like the series is split into two distinct portions: the first, the original PlayStation 2 games that so many people experienced and loved; and the second, the bizarre and often bewildering series of follow-ups that have debuted in the space between 2005 and whenever Kingdom Hearts III comes out. At times, it seems like the overarching narrative is literally being made up as each game comes out — despite the popularity of the terms “spinoff” and “side game” to refer to titles like Birth by Sleep and 358/2 Days, I assert that anyone who thinks they can jump straight from II to III is going to be in for a rough (albeit probably hilarious) time trying to understand what’s going on.

Lrm Exclusive Interview: Ashley Johnson for Critical Role

What could be more entertaining than playing Dungeons & Dragons? Watching people play the role-playing game with Critical Role.

The web series, from Geek & Sundry, streams a group of friends (mainly voice actors) on a weekly game ran by the show’s Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer.

The series is broadcast live on Thursdays on Geek & Sundry’s Twitch.tv channel and the episodes made available on its official web site and YouTube channel.

The group is comprised of Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, Taliesin Jaffe, Travis Willingham and Orion Acaba.

Lrm had an exclusive phone interview with actress Ashley Johnson to discuss her participation in the game while filming the TV show Blindspot.

Geek & Sundry Partners With Green Ronin To Create RPG Modules Based On Critical Role Web Show

Coming off their live show from the gaming convention Gen Con in Indianapolis, Green Ronin Publishing announced it signed a licensing agreement with popular web-based Geek & Sundry to release roleplaying game sourcebooks based on its web show Critical Role.

The books will be written by Critical Role’s dungeon master and creator Matthew Mercer.

The first book is currently underway titled, “Critical Role: Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting,” which delves into the rich background of Exandria. The books will be based on Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition rules. It’s scheduled for release in the spring of next year.

Great Job, Internet!: Vin Diesel and his cohorts embark on an epic quest with Dungeons & Dragons

Vin Diesel is a huge nerd, both literally and figuratively. The once (and future?) Riddick and star of the Fast & Furious franchise is famed for his love of Dungeons & Dragons. In fact, he even based his movie, The Last Witch Hunter, on a character he created for the game. Batman: The Telltale Series – Episode 1: Realm of Shadows meets all of these, adding a few welcome surprises to boot. It really is the best of both worlds, however tired that phrase may be: while it isn’t afraid to shake up the Batman universe a bit, it also preserves the time-tested elements that make the franchise so adored by so many people. Batman The Telltale Series Trailer Announces First Episode Release Date

Previously, we reported that the season pass hard copy of Batman - The Telltale Series would arrive on September 13, 2016.  Now we have a definitive date for the first digital episode!  It comes with a pretty awesome trailer, check it out!

Telltale Games has outdone themselves.  Not only have they done a great job keeping their Warner Bros. Interactive collaborative Batman game shrouded in mystery, they've also released an incredible first trailer.  There aren't too many companies that can get away with revealing nothing until two weeks before a game's first episodic release.

Furthermore, before today, we didn't even know when the first episode would come out.  Finally we have confirmation that Batman- The Telltale Series' first episode "Realm of Shadows" will be available for download on August 2, 2016.  This lines up perfectly for the release of the Season Pass hard copy on September 13, 2016.

Telltale Games has pulled back the velvet curtain on the very first, gripping trailer for Batman: The Telltale Series.

Set to premiere with Realm of Shadows on August 2 across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, iOS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac, it’s understood that Telltale’s episodic rendition of the World’s Greatest Detective will be available to pick up at retail from September 13 in North America in the form of the special Season Pass. Those in Europe can expect the season to swoop onto discs on September 16, with each episode unlocking as they release.
