Some films take time to strike a chord with the audience, but "Sukumarudu", about greedy Nri protagonist, makes an instant connect with viewers. It's another Telugu film high on emotion with good performances. However, what makes the seemingly entertaining film boring and melodramatic is the done to death presentation style.

A Sreenu Vaitla commercial book of filmmaking will definitely have the following - a hero stronger than all superheroes put together. He is so strong that he can overthrow a legion of bad guys in a jiffy, in true commercialised style of fighting. He has shades of good and bad, of course with reasons and back stories attached. He has the time to find a heroine to romance, but that doesn't deter him from his mission. He can defeat not one, not even two, but any number.

Movie Review: "Kandireega"; Star Cast: Ram, Hansika, Aksha, Sonu Sood, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Swathi, M.S.Naryana and Chandra Mohan; Procucer: Bellam Konda Suresh; Director: Santhosh Sreenivas; Camera: Prasad; Music Director: Thaman; Rating: ** 1/2 - mindless, but enjoyable.
Like any other Telugu film these days, "Kandireega" has a predictable story line with some twists at regular intervals and some doses of slapstick comedy.
With good visuals and good quality songs, the ordinary film can look interesting if it has an actor who looks convincing in the role. "Kandireega", directed by debutant Santhosh Sreenivas,.

Film: ‘Prasthanam’; Director: Deva Katta; Cast: Shravanand, Rubi Pariwar, Sai Kumar, Sandeep Kishan and Jayaprakash Reddy; Music: Mahesh Shankar; Rating:***
‘Prasthanam’ has strong political overtones and is the latest entry to an increasing list of politics-oriented films to hit screens in Andhra Pradesh.
Director Deva Katta has been able to narrate a gripping political tale with elements of sentiments, thrill and a little bit of philosophy.
