‘Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance’ Full-Length Theatrical Trailer

15 December 2011 10:38 AM, PST | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor seem like a perfect fit for the Ghost Rider franchise, coming off the insane Crank films, but according to early word they’ve failed miserably. Sony debuted the film at Harry Knowles‘ geek-filled b-day bash, Butt-numb-a-thon, and it was received terribly. Some said “Ghost Rider 2 manages to make me look fondly back on Ghost Rider,” and others stated “Ghost Rider 2 makes Ghost Rider 1 look like The Dark Knight.” A few had praise, saying it was “B-movie pulp, and just all-around goofy fun.” But overall, it was not a strong showing.

We have the new full-length theatrical today for Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance and it still looks to be some sort of ridiculous fun, but I can easily see how this could get tiring in feature-length form. I’m liking some of the cinematography choices and Nicolas Cage looks to be as insane as we’d imagine, »

Final Poster for Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance

13 December 2011 11:29 AM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

Sony has released a new poster for Neveldine/Taylor's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.   It's pretty much the standee but in poster form.  As you can see, Ghost Rider (Nicolas Cage) swung his whip so hard that it knocked the title 90-degrees clockwise.  And while having the main character rush towards you with his flaming bike is all well and good, nothing in this poster lets audiences know that they're getting a much different (and hopefully much better) movie than what they got in 2007.  Also, the final poster doesn't hold a candle to these badass one-sheets. Hit the jump to check out the poster.  Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance opens February 17th. Here's the official synopsis for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance: Nicolas Cage returns as Johnny Blaze in Columbia Pictures' and Hyde Park Entertainment's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The week of Valentine’s Day seems a wildly innappropriate time for the release of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance in UK cinemas, with a bike-riding, flaming-skulled anti-hero this is as far from being a date movie as can be.

Here's a couple of great fan-made poster designs for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The posters were created by Andrei Popa who sent the posters over to us, and they were created for a fan contest. I think these are some pretty cool designs.

The movie was directed by Crank helmers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, and it looks like it going to be an adrenaline filled action packed movie of ridiculousness. If you haven't seen the trailer yet, check it out here. I didn't think I would be excited about this movie, but after watching some footage from it, there's no doubt it will entertain the hell into audiences.

"The Walking Dead" and Ruining Your Welcome: A Television Review ("Pretty Much Dead Already")

Director: Michelle Mclaren,

Writers: Frank Darabont, Robert Kirkman, and Scott M. Gimple.

So, apparently Herschel had a secret of his own waiting in his barn. This episode, "Pretty Much Dead," ended with a powerful and emotive ending, but did this final five minutes make up for the previous thirty-five minutes of predictable dialogue? The consistent drama and repetition of previous plotlines such as searching for Sophia (Madison Lintz) continued in this episode with the inclusion of a few more. The writing or lack thereof and reduced budget has kept this show in an idyllic landscape for too long. Now, is the time to push on.

As an aside, it is at this point that Frank Darabont left the show. His departure occurred during this episode or in epis. 8. How will the show progress? It is possible that Darabont plotted the rest of this series. However, the show's success now lies »

The Walking Dead, Season 2, Episode 7: “Pretty Much Dead Already

Written by Scott M. Gimple

Directed by Michelle MacLaren

Airs Sundays at 9pm Et on AMC

Simon Howell:

“Pretty Much Dead Already,” directed by Breaking Bad producer Michelle MacLaren, opens with the scene that, frankly, I really wish last week had led off with: Glenn wakes up in the morning, gets in front of the group, and says plainly: “So, there are some zombies in the barn.” (I’m paraphrasing here.) Did I need that to be presaged by portenteously exchanged long-distance head-shaking from both Dale and Maggie, as well as a dramatic music cue upon the moment of revelation? No, but I’ll take it.

I know my nitpicking gets me in trouble, so I’ll get mine out of the way as quickly as possible. The pacing of this latest half-season of The Walking Dead has been all over the place, »

'Walking Dead' writer Robert Kirkman talks midseason finale shocker

27 November 2011 10:00 PM, PST | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

Yikes!

The last time we spoke with Walking Dead executive producer Robert Kirkman he suggested fans might be “a little shocked” by tonight’s midseason finale, ‘Pretty Much Dead Already.’ The show very much proved he is a man of his word.

The good news was that the survivors finally found their precious Sophia (Madison Lintz). The bad? Their precious Sophia had transformed into a bloodthirsty ghoul, one who had to be put out of her misery by Rick (Andrew Lincoln).

Yikes, indeed!

Below, Kirkman — who is also a writer on the show and pens the Walking Dead comic — talks »
