Kevin Scott Greer was born in Decatur, Illinois and raised in various towns across Illinois. In the 5th grade, Kevin's family moved to Charleston, Illinois where he grew up. His mother's name is Sheila. His father's name is John. They are married and reside in Decatur, Illinois. In high school, he was involved in sports, art and played around with making films with his friends. Kevin attended Lake Land College, Eastern Illinois University and the University of Illinois in Chicago studying to become a doctor, when he decided to follow his true passion for acting and film. Kevin attended various acting schools in Chicago, including the Audition Studio and Act One. He got his start in film while going to work as a waiter in downtown Chicago and was pulled off the street mistaken as an extra for "ER" (1994).

Attended Eastern Illinois University, University of Illinois and Lake Land College studying pre-medicine while taking acting classes whenever he could.

Graduated from Charleston High School in 1994 (Charleston, Illinois).

Was an assistant in Endocrinology and Ob/Gyn research at the University of Illinois Hospital and Medical School in Chicago.

Was pulled off the street, mistaken as an extra, in the same episode of "ER" (1994) that Sherry Stringfield's character Dr. Susan Lewis left the show in 1996. Was asked to be in another scene for continuity reasons, but had to finish a shift at the Walnut Room Restaurant in Chicago. After some confusion Kevin was asked to return after work to stand by in case he was needed. Kevin credits this moment as the stimulus for his career.

In high school was a member of the baseball, basketball and football teams.

Credits Margaret Travolta, the sister of John Travolta for being a supportive figure in his pursuit of an acting career. Met on the set of "Early Edition" (1996) in 1998.

Is a fan of executive producer Paul Stupin. Paul invited Kevin to hang around a pilot series in Chicago in 1998. Paul Stupin and Kevin Williamson are the creators of the hit WB show "Dawson's Creek" (1998).

He is a direct descendant of the Scottish Royal House of Alpin, and King Alpin, the celebrated King of Scotland and Dalriada. The namesake Greer comes from the Scottish Clan MacGregor. Also, a descendant of Clan MacGregor is Ewan McGregor. The namesakes changed to the current surnames to protect families from Scotland.

(December 2003) He has returned to school in Champaign, Illinois to get his degree. He's also auditioning and working on getting some stage credits.

(March 2004) Is cast in a minor speaking role for a new film entitled "Scare Me" in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

(May 2004) After returning to school in the spring 2004, he is listed on the Dean's List at his college.

(September 2004) Living in the Chicagoland area and is said to be in a film in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, titled Strange Voltage.
