Kang Hye-Jung Joins the Hollywood Ranks in Wedding Palace

Add another Korean actor to the list of those joining Hollywood. After Rain, Lee Byung-Heon, Kim Yoon-Jin, Song Hye-Gyo, Jeon Ji-Hyun, Gu Hye-Seon and Co., Kang Hye-Jung of 올드보이 (Oldboy) and 웰컴 투 동막골 (Welcome to Dongmakgol) will make her Hollywood debut in the rom-com Wedding Palace, alongside Korean-American actor Brian Tee. The film tells the story of an an American man and a Korean woman dating, overcoming their cultural differences and eventually marrying, and marks the debut of Korean American Christine Yu, who had been mostly writing screenplays in Hollywood up to now, including the TV series Afro Samurai. Film will be produced by Tee himself, through his company Tu Productions, and will start shooting from September in L.A., with a week of location shooting in Korea. Dennis Hopper to star in 'Crash'

Dennis Hopper has been tapped to star in Crash, Starz Entertainment's series adaptation of the feature film. Clare Carey also will co-star.

Crash, from Lionsgate, is a 13-episode series featuring a different cast of characters than the film. Hopper will play Ben, a veteran maverick music producer looking for his last big score. The actor's most recent starring series role was NBC's E-Ring.

Carey (Jericho) will play Christine, a frustrated mom who is married to a successful pre-bust real estate developer. Hopper and Carey join the previously cast Luis Chavez, Ross McCall, Jocko Sims, Brian Tee and Arlene Tur.

Production has begun in Albuquerque, N.M., with additional filming to take place in and around Los Angeles, for an October premiere. Sanford Bookstaver (Jericho) is directing the first episode. »

Starz's 'Crash' adds cast

The cast of Starz's series "Crash" is falling into place.

Luis Chavez, Arlene Tur, Ross McCall, Brian Tee and Jocko Sims have come aboard the Lionsgate-produced series, which is based on the Oscar-winning film but features a different slate of characters.

Chavez, repped by Amatruda Benson & Associates and Adam Griffin, will play Cesar, a poor immigrant who embarks on a brutal journey to America.

Tur, repped by Gersh and Leverage, will play Bebe, a former actress who became an LAPD officer after researching a role and falling in love with police work.

McCall will play Kenny, a cop more interested in joyriding than paperwork.

Tee, repped by DiSante Frank & Co., will portray Eddie, a Korean-American immigrant who became an EMT.

Sims, repped by APA and Michelle Benedetti, is set as Anthony, the driver to a successful music producer. »
