Et exclusively spoke with the dance-pop group on Friday before they take the stage at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester charity show this weekend, where they'll be performing without their beloved frontwoman. Exclusive: Black Eyed Peas Support Fergie After She Leaves Group: She's 'Still in the Family'

1 June 2017 12:40 PM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Fergie is officially a full-time solo artist.

Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am confirmed this week that Fergie is no longer in the pop group. "Since the beginning of Black Eyed Peas, we've always had amazing vocalists that appeared on the mic with us. People like Macy Gray, Esthero, Debi Nova, Fergie. On Elephunk, there were several females that appeared on that album," he explains to English-language UAE entertainment news magazine Ahlan. "Obviously Fergie was the featured female, but on songs like 'Let's Get it Started,' it's Noelle [Scaggs], and then Fergie, songs like 'Latin Girls,' it's Debi Nova, and 'Request Line,' it's Macy Gray. We'll always work with good females."

Although will.i.am confirms Fergie is not a full-time member of the Black Eyed Peas, a source close to the group tells Et that the "Fergalicious" singer has the support of her former bandmates as she pursues other music endeavors. “Fergie is still »

A few of music's biggest names are showing their support for the Lgbtq community.

In honor of Pride Month, Billboard asked a wide variety of stars to write "love letters" to the Lgbtq community, and the response is pretty amazing. Selena Gomez, Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are just some of the singers who responded, sharing heartfelt, personal memories.

Gomez credits her mother, Mandy Teefey, for raising her in an environment that was "incredibly open-minded and non-judgmental." The "It Ain't Me" singer recalls hanging out with a few of her mother's friends, who just so happen to be gay.

Tell it to the judge: why American Idol needs no-nonsense Katy Perry

26 May 2017 5:30 AM, PDT | The Guardian - TV News | See recent The Guardian - TV News news »

If anyone can turn the Us reality show’s fortunes around, it’s a proper pop star who rides 16ft-tall golden lions

Traditionally, signing up to be a judge on a talent show is a dead giveaway that a pop star has lost their shine. A squeaky leatherette seat on a reality-show panel is the halfway point between “actually selling records” and “auditioning for these shows as a contestant”; for evidence, see Mel B, Nicole Scherzinger and Dannii Minogue, Cheryl (all X Factor) or, across the Atlantic, Paula Abdul, J Lo, Mariah Carey (American Idol). Their post-reality output has been disappointing at best, embarrassing at worst. Only season 12’s Nicki Minaj has managed to escape with chart power and dignity still intact.

It came as a #blessed surprise last week, then, when Actual Pop Megastar Katy Perry was revealed to have signed up as a judge for the newly revived American Idol, »

Why ‘Dirty Dancing’ Star Colt Prattes Was ‘Terrified’ to Deliver Patrick Swayze’s Classic Line

There’s no question that Colt Prattes had the time of his life shooting “Dirty Dancing,” ABC’s musical remake of the Oscar-winning 1987 film. Prattes — a relative unknown whose biggest previous credit was the music video for Pink’s “Try” — plays Johnny Castle, the role originally played by the late Patrick Swayze. The new version airs Wednesday and also stars Abigail Breslin as Baby (Jennifer Grey’s character), with Sarah Hyland, Debra Messing, Katey Sagal, Nicole Scherzinger, Bruce Greenwood and Billy Dee Williams rounding out the cast. “You can’t do it better,” Prattes tells TheWrap of the original film. »

The Dirty Dancing Reboot Is Giving the Original Soundtrack a Modern Twist

24 May 2017 12:05 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

While we don't necessarily love everything about ABC's Dirty Dancing reboot, we can appreciate the music. It's hard to top the original soundtrack, so the producers did something really interesting: they didn't. Instead of inserting new songs into the movie, they just got current artists to record covers. I'm partial to Frankie Valli and The Drifters, but at the very least, these tracks are a cool addition to the film's legacy. Here's the full list, and we've included all the videos - plus the Spotify playlist - below. "Be My Baby" by Bea Miller "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Karmin "Love Man" by J. Quinton Johnson "Do You Love Me" by Colt Prattes, Nicole Scherzinger, J. Quinton Johnson "Fever" by Katey Sagal, Colt Prattes "When I'm Alone" by J. Quinton Johnson "Wipe Out" by American Authors Feat. Lindsey Stirling "Hungry Eyes" by Greyson Chance "Hey Baby" by Lady Antebellum "Whole »

Review: 'Dirty Dancing' Remake Is Less About Dancing, More About Singing -- Let's Break It Down!

24 May 2017 11:30 AM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Nobody should make a Dirty Dancing reboot…

But if you're going to, do it right.

Before you read any further, know that I really did try to give ABC's musical adaptation a chance, I did. There have been plenty of remakes of classical hits over the past few years -- some which were not so great, but others, like Grease: Live, that were wonderfully done and satisfied almost all of the viewers who tuned in. Of course, whenever you hear the news that one of your favorite movies of All Time is going to be remade, there's that moment of excitement -- "Yes! I am pumped for this!" -- followed by fear -- "Wait, what if this goes terribly wrong?"

So after hearing who would take on the beloved roles of Patrick Swayze's Johnny Castle (newcomer Colt Prattes) and Jennifer Grey's Baby Houseman (Little Miss Sunshine herself, Abigail Breslin), I told »

Why Rehearsals for Baby’s Soaring Dirty Dancing Lift Made Abigail Breslin Feel Like a ‘Toddler’

24 May 2017 10:39 AM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

The chance to play Baby in ABC’s small-screen reimagining of Dirty Dancing was dream gig for Abigail Breslin — but even more so for her mother.

Dirty Dancing is my mom’s No. 1 favorite movie. She actually used to say, ‘I would die if you could play Baby one day.’ When I got it, she was the first person I called,” Breslin shares in People’s special collector’s edition about the 1987 film favorite.

Breslin, 21, admits it was sometimes less dreamy to master her moves with newcomer Colt Prattes, who plays bad boy dancer Johnny to Breslin’s Baby.

It’s the perfect summer day in western North Carolina -- sunny, breezy and warm with blues skies reflecting against the lake and stretching for miles over rolling green meadows -- and entering the grounds of the country club, a giant “Kellerman’s Lodge” sign greets you from the golf course. Couples in starched, pastel outfits sit in rocking chairs on the porch waiting on cues from the director, while a dance coach run moves on the practice log that hovers twelve inches above the ground. The set of ABC’s highly anticipated Dirty Dancing musical reimagining -- starring Little Miss Sunshine’s Abigail Breslin as Baby and Colt Prattes as Johnny Castle -- is the fancy summer camp experience of your dreams and the cast has bonded tightly just like kids at the end of the season.
