The Sun reports that Simon Cowell has lured Sharon Osbourne back with an offer of £1.5m plus £300,000 to cover flights and stays at London's Dorchester during filming on the series. Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger will also earns £1.5m. Altogether the judges' paybill has risen from £3.7m last year to £5.8m plus expenses this year. Osbourne, who was last a judge on the show six years ago, will replace Tulisa Contostavlos
Sharon Osbourne will return to The X Factor judging panel to replace Tulisa Contostavlos, ITV has confirmed.
She will join Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger – who have all signed up – on the ITV series when it comes back to screens later this year.
Osbourne, last on the show as a judge six years ago, had been widely expected to return after it emerged she had been in negotiation with programme chiefs. She said she "couldn't be happier" about her comeback.
The line-up announcement means Simon Cowell will be absent for a third year. His departure coincided with a ratings tumble for the show which was last year regularly beaten by BBC1 rival Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday nights.
Osbourne is reported to have been offered more than £1m for her return to the panel. »

The title of Harry Hill's new musical based on The X Factor has been revealed as I Can't Sing.
The 48-year-old comedian described the show, which features caricatures of Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh, as a "mickey-taking spectacular".
"We'd been umm-ing and ahh-ing about the title for a while, then it hit us - there's never been a musical called I Can't Sing," Hill said.
"It also happens to be the title of one of the funniest songs in the show, and we hope hints at the direction we're taking this production.
"We think it's also the only musical for a while with a singing hunchback, a talking dog and a man on an iron lung, but we'd have to Google that to be sure.
"We're pretty certain that you won't have seen anything like it before and it's great that Simon is backing it 4,500%."

There are secrets. There are embargoes. There are things nobody is supposed to know. And then there is Louis Walsh.
This year's X Factor judging panel lineup has been kept firmly under wraps over recent months, but cheeky scamp Louis let the cat out of the bag this week. He spilled the beans on the final lineup in an interview to promote some god awful boyband project that he's plotting.
According to Louis, the 2013 panel will feature himself (obviously), Gary Barlow, Walsh's old mucka Sharon Osbourne and (probably) Nicole Scherzinger.
Walsh's blathering appears to confirm the endless Osbourne rumours and backs up sources that say Barlow wants in for a third series. Tulisa announced that she was quitting today (The Female Boss is heading down the Job Centre) and Scherzinger was the saving grace of the last series, so unless there are some serious contract/timing issues, the former Pussycat Doll will surely be back. »

"I'd like to thank everyone on The X Factor for two amazing years. Stay tuned as I have a very exciting announcement soon!"
Contostavlos has long been rumoured to be replaced by former judge Sharon Osbourne on the next edition of The X Factor.
The 60-year-old was reported earlier this month to have closed a deal estimated at between £1.5 million and £1.8 million to rejoin the panel. »

Contostavlos, who joined The X Factor in 2011, is rumoured to have been replaced by former judge Sharon Osbourne for the upcoming 10th series this year.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Jordan said that Contostavlos would be welcomed to X Factor's rival show with open arms.
"Tulisa, she'd be lovely in Strictly," Jordan said. "I think she'd be quite good."
Asked if there were any other X Factor stars she'd like to see as contestants, Jordan said: "I know Nicole Scherzinger did Strictly in America, and she won. But she's a [real] dancer."
Jordan also stated her belief that ITV's promise not to schedule The X Factor against Strictly this year is a sign that her show has won the long-fought ratings battle.

New York -- Derek Hough has made it to the finals of the 16th edition of "Dancing With the Stars," which wraps Tuesday, but he almost didn't return to the ABC show this season.
"I was gonna sit this season out," Hough said in a recent interview. "My mom hurt herself and she was in the hospital (but) I had this overwhelming feeling, `You know what? I feel like this isn't the season I should be taking off. This isn't the one.' Now looking back, I'm really glad I made that decision because it's been one of my favorite seasons as far as creating and working with people."
Besides teaching his celeb partner, country singer Kellie Pickler, how to ballroom dance, he's also performed with a blind dancer and danced in a rotating room.
Hough, 28, pushed for these opportunities to keep challenging himself.
