Dana Davis has joined NBC's hit sci-fi drama Heroes as a regular, playing a new hot young hero.

While her powers are being kept under wraps, it is understood that Davis' character, Monica, would give up everything to help the people around her.

On Heroes, Davis joins another new regular, Dania Ramirez, who plays another beautiful young hero named Maya, as well as new recurring Nick D'Agosto, Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, David Anders, Eriko Tamura, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron.

This past season, Davis co-starred on ABC's critically praised The Nine and the CW's Hidden Palms.

The actress, who recently wrapped the feature Prom Night for Screen Gems, is repped by the Gersh Agency and Marshak/Zachary. »

'Housewives' wed to Delany, Fillion, Fonseca

3 July 2007 | The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News | See recent The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News news »

Emmy winner Dana Delany might be co-starring on ABC's Desperate Housewives after all, and she might be joined on the hit dramedy by Nathan Fillion and Lyndsy Fonseca.

Delany, who reportedly was the first choice for the role of Bree but turned down the pilot, as well as Drive star Fillion are in talks and Fonseca is in negotiations to join the cast of the ABC Studios-produced Housewives next season as regulars.

Delany and Fillion would play a woman and her much younger husband who move to Wisteria Lane with the woman's daughter (Fonseca).

Housewives creator/exec producer Marc Cherry, said to be behind the efforts to cast Delany as Bree in the pilot, also is the one trying to get her to play the new character, sources said.

Delany, a double Emmy winner for China Beach, most recently starred on NBC's drama Kidnapped.

Fillion is on the big screen in the feature film Waitress. In addition to his starring role on Fox's midseason drama Drive, Fillion is known for playing the lead in Fox's sci-fi drama Firefly and the subsequent feature film Serenity.

Fonseca recently landed a recurring role on NBC's hit Heroes. Her credits also include HBO's Big Love. She is repped by Gersh and Sager Management. »

Legion of super-'Heroes'

20 June 2007 | The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News | See recent The Hollywood Reporter - Movie News news »

NBC's sci-fi drama Heroes is casting a wide net for next season, tapping Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, Alias alum David Anders, Japanese pop star and actress Eriko Tamura, Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron for recurring roles.

Anders will play the most intriguing part, that of the ancient samurai warrior Takezo Kensei, Hiro Nakamura's (Masi Oka) childhood hero. While never seen during Heroes' first season, Kensei played a key part in the show's plot. Hiro spent most of the season trying to get ahold of Kensei's sword, which he hoped would help him in his quest to save the world.

In another Japanese connection, Tamura will play a Japanese princess.

Henley will play Detective Fuller, a New York police officer. McCallany will play Ricky, the ringleader of a group of Irish thugs.

Fonseca and Agron will play beautiful cheerleaders in Southern California, where Claire (Hayden Panettiere) is expected to move. Fonseca's character April is sweet, while Agron's Debbie is a mean girl. »
