ABC Cancels Marvel's 'Agent Carter' and Not Going Ahead with Marvel's 'Most Wanted'

12 May 2016 7:31 PM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has canceled the Marvel television series "Agent Carter" after two seasons. The series chronicled the adventures of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) after the events of "Captain America: The First Avenger." The cast included James D'Arcy, Enver Gjokaj, Shea Whigham, Dominic Cooper, Lyndsy Fonseca and Chad Michael Murray

The Marvel series received critical praise but failed to draw in a wider audience unlike Marvel and ABC's flagship series "Agents Of Shield." Marvel was also developing a spinoff to "Shield" called "Marvel's Most Wanted" starring Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood reprising their roles as Shield agents Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter, but ABC has decided to pass on the pilot and plans for the series were scrapped.

Trailer Arrives For New Form Digital’s ‘RePlay’ One Day Ahead Of Its Go90 Premiere

19 April 2016 12:48 PM, PDT | | See recent Tubefilter News news »

New Form Digital’s time-rewinding special is getting ready for its close-up. The digital studio whose founding partners include Ron Howard and Discovery Communications has released a trailer for RePlay one day prior to the show’s premiere on mobile video platform Go90.

RePlay will star Lyndsy Fonseca, whose credits include the daughter in How I Met Your Mother, as a DJ named Allison who experiences deja vu on the night she celebrates her 25th birthday. After the party goes awry, Allison is sent back in time to experience the day over and over “until she can get [it] right.” Groundhog Day fans who read that plot description may feel some deja vu of their own, and based on RePlay’s trailer, that feeling is merited. There are a lot of similarities between New Form’s upcoming project and the 1993 Bill Murray comedy.

Hayley Atwell on Agent Carter's 'Fascinating' Foe, Jarvis Face-Off, What Sousa and Wilkes Share With Cap

25 January 2016 12:00 PM, PST | | See recent news »

ABC’s Agent Carter is on a new mission (Tuesdays at 9/8c) — one that has improbably paired a mysteriously frozen woman with sunshiney, avocado-loving Hollywood.

Already in her travels out West, Peggy has awkwardly reunited with new Ssr chief Daniel Sousa, reignited her banter with Howard Stark’s manservant Jarvis (as well as met her stoic sidekick’s bubbly missus) and made the acquaintance of the dashing Dr. Jason Wilkes. Alas, the latter soon enough met a to-be-revealed fate after both he and movie star Whitney Frost had a nasty run-in with some ominous “zero matter.”

15 years ago today, we finally found out why Homer Simpson is so stupid

7 January 2016 6:00 AM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

15 years ago today, we finally learned the cause of Homer Simpson’s sub-normal intelligence. “The Simpsons” episode “Homr” gave us an answer as to how Homer could get his arms stuck in not one but two vending machines and forget the word for spoon (“that metal … dealy… you use to… dig… food?”). In that season 12 episode — which aired on January 7, 2001 — an x-ray reveals that Homer has a crayon lodged in his brain that’s been there since he was six years old. When Homer gets the crayon removed, his Iq skyrockets, and he’s suddenly no longer the village idiot. But once he realizes he’s happier when he’s dumber (despite a newfound connection to his intelligent daughter Lisa), he has the crayon re-inserted into his brain.
