Daytime Emmys 2014: The winners list

The biggest winner at Sunday’s live-streamed Daytime Emmy Awards, emceed by Kathy Griffin, was Steve Harvey, who took home two prizes: one for his eponymous talk show and one as the host of the syndicated Family Feud. Among soap operas, The Young and the Restless dominated, nabbing Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Billy Miller), and Outstanding Supporting Actress (Amelia Heinle), among other awards.

Daytime Emmys: Y&R Dominates Soap Pack; AMC and Oltl Get 3 Wins Each

The 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards were held Sunday at the Beverly Hills Hilton, hosted by expletive-happy comedienne Kathy Griffin and streamed online at DaytimeEmmys.net, home of the most dreadful pre-show ever.

CBS’ The Young and the Restless came away as this year’s big winner, grabbing gold five times at Sunday night’s main gala, including for Outstanding Drama and for Lead Actor. Sister sudser The Bold and the Beautiful was shut out at the big show, but had scored four statuettes at Friday night’s Creative Arts awards ceremony (see winners list).

Daytime Emmy Awards Unveil Contenders for Acting Nominations

The National Academy of Arts & Sciences has unveiled the pool of contenders for top acting nominations for the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

The so-called pre-nominations list reflects the selections by actor peer group judges to winnow the list of eligible contenders in the six acting categories.

Final judging for the nominations and winners will begin March 26. Noms in all Daytime Emmy categories will be announced May 1.
