New Unborn Video Wants You to Possess Your Friends

30 December 2008 6:29 AM, PST | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

A new viral (they hope) promotion for The Unborn invites visitors to take possession personally. The site features a Blair Witch-style YouTube video of a couple of girls moving from a mysterious change of eye color to getting possessed as a presence in the background insists with increasing intensity that it wants to be born now. You are invited to help with the birth by adding the name and picture of a friend (or perhaps enemy) to have them materialize on a TV screen in the girls' room and then e-mail the personalized result.

Check out the trailer below. One of the creepiest in recent memory.

Exclusive Video Interviews with Neil Patrick Harris, Odette Yustman and Tony Hawk -- From the Red Carpet of the Video Game Awards

17 December 2008 | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

The other day I attended the Video Game Awards and I managed to get a few interviews on the red carpet. While I already posted my interview with Hideo Kojima, the creator of “Metal Gear Solid”, I’ve got a few more and they’re below. Even though all three of the interviews came out great…I figured Neil Patrick Harris deserved to be first as I’ve just gotten into “How I Met Your Mother” and he’s great on the show. The next one is with Odette Yustman and if you’re not familiar with her name, she was one of the leads in “Cloverfield” and she’s the star of David Goyer’s new movie “The Unborn”. She also looks a lot like Megan Fox. Trust me, Odette’s going to be someone in the limelight very soon…. And finally I landed an interview with the great »

Part of January's horror onslaught, The Unborn from writer-director David Goyer (Blade Trinity) seems to be aiming for an old-school spooky vibe. We'll have to wait a bit to see just how successful that attempt is, but here are a few sample clips to give you some flavor (plus the buttock-ular poster). The movie stars Odette Yustman (Cloverfield), Gary Oldman, Carla Gugino, Meagan Good, Idris Elba and Cam Gigandet (Twilight), and involves a young woman haunted by the spirit of a twin brother that never escaped the womb. »

To kick start Twilight week here on Movies.ie we talk villains and vampires with Twilight bad guy Cam Gigandet. nbspIn many ways Twilight is your typical Shakespearian love story. Except in this tale the starcrossed lovers are a human girl named Bella and her vampire boyfriend Edward Cullen therell be no everlasting rest for this Romeo!. But Edward isnt like other vamps he and his family are what you might describe as vegan steering clear of the human jugular in favour of a more atypical lifestyle. Its not all play sailing for the young lovers aside from those obvious interspecies issues the pair must also content with trackers Laurent and James the Cullens mortal vampire enemies who have come to town looking for Bella... "The Unborn" Prequel ?

14 December 2008 2:01 PM, PST | www.ohmygore.com/ | See recent OhMyGore news »

Arrow in the Head had a quick convo with "The Unborn" star, Odette Yustman and she dished some details about David Goyer's thoughts on a sequel. "You know, that is quite a possibility. I know that David Goyer was talking about maybe doing a prequel. And hopefully working with Carla Gugino - she plays my mother in the movie - so maybe developing that story a little bit more and you could see why maybe her relationship with her father isn't as strong as it should be and how the real story went down. So that would be a possibility, you know, if it's a hit." If the whole movie turns out as good as the marketing teams has done at cutting and distributing the previews then this should be damn fine movie and worthy of a sequel. I guess it's all up to the box office now - »

Odette Yustman Talks Tarot Card Comedy Rogue's Gallery

12 December 2008 12:45 PM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

We will always stop to write about Odette Yustman, the beauty from Cloverfield who next stars in The Unborn. Yustman talked to ComingSoon about a new independent project she's set to star in, "a small, dry-wit, dark comedy about a group of assassins, they're all based on Tarot card names." The film is titled Rogue's Gallery and also stars Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Ellen Barkin, Maggie Q, and comedians Jeffrey Tambor, Zach Galifianakis and Rob Corddry. "It's funny in that way that it's kind've gory, but hilarious in the way the situations come about because I get to work with great comedic actors," Yustman explains. Yustman's character in the film is named Temperence, "and each of us have different functions and things we have to do," she explains. "We're hired by the government, we're this underground society, and we're basically sent to kill whoever we have to kill. And one »

New Poster for 'The Unborn' - Great Poster or the Greatest?

12 December 2008 8:20 AM, PST | Cinematical | See recent Cinematical news »

A pal of mine passed along this new international poster for David S. Goyer's supernatural thriller, The Unborn, which Empire Magazine recently premiered. The Unborn stars Odette Yustman (Cloverfield), who finds herself haunted by one freaky little spirit if the freaky little trailer is to be believed.

In the most petty terms, I give this one the benefit of the doubt over next month's other PG-13 horror flick, The Uninvited. This one was rated PG-13 for "intense sequences of violence and terror, disturbing images, thematic material and language including some sexual references"; that one can only boast "violent and disturbing images, thematic material, sexual content, language and teen drinking". Try and tell me you wouldn't rather see the former based on that assessment alone.

Other than that, I really just wanted to share this nifty poster with you and yours this holiday season. Co-starring Gary Oldman, Cam Gigandet, and »
