Ralph Young was born on July 1, 1918 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA as Ralph Israel. He was an actor, known for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962), Sandler and Young's Kraft Music Hall (1969) and Blaze Starr Goes Nudist (1962). He was married to Arlene Young and Muriel Young. He died on August 22, 2008 in Palm Springs, California, USA.

With Tony Sandler, formed the singing duo Sandler & Young in 1965.

Was married twice (his first wife died in 1984) and has six children: Neil, Arleen, Ron, Guy, Lauren and Rachel.
Served as a singer in a stateside Army band during World War II.
Once a vocalist for the Tommy Reynolds band before joining Les Brown and his Band of Renown in 1940. With Brown he recorded the hit record "Tis Autumn". Later he performed with the Shep Fields band and in the 1950s became a longtime production singer at the Latin Quarter in New York.
Had a leading role in the short-lived 1958 Broadway musical comedy "Whoop-Up".
Dropped out of high school to help his family earn money as a messenger for Warner Bros. in New York City, then launched his singing career in small New York restaurants and clubs.
Went into semi-retirement in 1983, but continued to perform occasionally until the early 1990s.
The duo was discovered by comedian Phil Silvers who caught their headlining show at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas. He raved about their act which helped them gain a following. Later Polly Bergen invited them to join her show at the Desert Inn, which led to more and more Los Angeles and New York engagements.
He and Sandler met in 1963 when they were both sent to Milan, Italy, to rehearse for a musical revue to be presented at the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas. The show ran for a year and then Sandler joined Young in New York, where they began performing together in the Catskills.
He and Sandler headlined their own summer replacement show from London in 1969 entitled "Kraft Music Hall Presents Sandler & Young".
