Countdown to Justice League – Smallville’s Justice

Ricky Church continues his countdown to Justice League with Smallville’s Justice…

While Justice League is the first feature film with DC’s biggest heroes coming together, it is not the first live action interpretation of the team’s formation. There was a 1997 Justice League of America TV movie that failed as a pilot, which is better left forgotten, and Smallville‘s interpretation of the team in the sixth season episode appropriately titled ‘Justice’. This was a pretty big moment for the Justice League and even bigger moment for Smallville; the series had dipped its toes in the wider world of the DC universe before, but this was the first time it embraced the collective future the group had in store.

In the episode, Clark discovers Oliver Queen and some of the other heroes Clark previously met have united to take down Lex Luthor’s superhuman labs. They discovered Lex

‘Rizzoli & Isles’ Stars Sasha Alexander and Angie Harmon’s Favorite Moments

‘Rizzoli & Isles’ Stars Sasha Alexander and Angie Harmon’s Favorite Moments
For the stars of “Rizzoli & isles,” their favorite moments mix the silly and the significant.

Sasha Alexander recalls the scene at the end of season two when Jane shot Maura’s biological father. “I remember the creator of the show, Janet Tamaro, was fighting for that. The network didn’t believe the fans would want to see [Rizzoli and Isles] fight, but I remember her saying, ‘This will deepen their friendship,’” Alexander says. “It was an extremely dramatic moment but it gave us a place to go.”

The more comedic moments also stick out. “I remember one where Jane was preparing Maura to go undercover and Maura was so excited she was like a kid coming out of her skin,” Alexander says. “And all the while Jane’s trying to calm her down and get the mic on her.”

Harmon says she enjoyed the season seven premiere where she spent a night cavorting in a Vivienne Westwood dress: “I was

Columbus Short — a former regular on ABC’s “Scandal” whose offscreen problems led to his departure from the show — revealed Wednesday his struggle with cocaine.

The actor was a series regular as Harrison Wright on Shonda Rhimes’ political drama for its first three seasons, before his character’s fate was left in the balance and Short was written off the show following domestic abuse charges from his wife. In an interview with Access Hollywood, he explained the substance abuse that dominated his life at the time.

“I’ll be candid. I was struggling with drugs,” Columbus said. “I had a lot on my plate, and you know, I was using unhealthy ways to kind of self-medicate and deal with a lot of heavy duty stuff in my life… The real drugs – I did cocaine. I was doing cocaine and drinking a lot, and trying to balance a 16-hour work schedule a day,

Rizzoli & Isles: Meet Frost's Replacement (But Don't Call Her That)

Rizzoli & Isles is getting a new team member this week, but you might not even realize it at first.

Idara Victor (Turn) joins the drama as Nina Holiday, who's quietly introduced on Tuesday's episode (9/8c, TNT) with such little fanfare that you might assume it's a drive-by guest-starring role. But the low-key debut was a decision executive producer Jan Nash did not take lightly. "I think usually it would be a big deal for any show, but we didn't make it too much of a thing at the beginning," Nash tells TVGuide.com. "We wanted to ease into it given the circumstances."

Get the scoop on your favorite returning summer shows

Those circumstances, of course, being the death of Lee Thompson Young, who played Det. Barry Frost, last August. After a tribute to Young and Frost in the second episode of the season, Nash had to figure how ...
