Rachel York was born on August 7, 1971 in Orlando, Florida, USA as Rachel Lemanski. She is an actress, known for One Life to Live (1968), One Fine Day (1996) and Happy Feet (2006). She has been married to Ayal Miodovnik since July 10, 2010. They have one child.

She played Fantine in "Les Miserables" on Broadway from 1991-1992, but she is more notably known for playing Marguerite in the second Broadway version of "The Scarlet Pimpernel".
She replaced original cast member Christine Andreas for the role of Marguerite in "The Scarlet Pimpernel" and played opposite Rex Smith and Douglas Sills.
Acting coach was Suzanne Shepherd from The Sopranos (1999).
Drama Desk Award Winner (NY) 1996 Best Featured Actress in a Broadway Musical for originating the role of Norma Cassidy in "Victor/Victoria".
She is a noted animal rights activist, and has two cats: Romeo and Gigi.
One of the few actresses that has received rave reviews from notoriously picky New York critic John Simon (often referred to as "The Butcher of Broadway").
