Jonathan And Drew Scott Named Habitat Humanitarians

Entrepreneurs, TV personalities, best-selling authors and world-renowned construction and real estate experts Jonathan and Drew Scott have been selected as Habitat Humanitarians in recognition and furtherance of their dedication to Habitat For Humanity's vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Receiving the highest recognition offered by Habitat for Humanity, the Scott brothers join former President Jimmy Carter, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter and country music stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood as the fifth and sixth Habitat Humanitarians named by the organization.

“We’re honored to take on this role as Habitat Humanitarians to help build a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to live,” Drew Scott said. “Building or buying a home is not easy work for anyone, and a Habitat home is no different. Rather than a handout, Habitat offers a hand up by partnering with homeowners to build homes

Cma Awards 2017: What You Didn’t See on TV
Amid a year rife with tragedy and division, the 2017 Cma Awards was a show of music unity, from the feel-good opening number — an all-star rendition of Hootie and the Blowfish’ “Hold My Hand” — to the night’s speeches: “I feel like we’re bonded together and banded together more than we ever have been,” Miranda Lambert told the crowd as she picked up her female vocalist trophy.

But behind the scenes, the country love fest seemed even cozier.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill made slow progress back to their front-row seats after singing in the opener because of the number

After former entertainer of the year honoree Reba McEntire presented him with the award, Brooks, 55, took the stage.

“Getting this presented to me by the entertainer of a lifetime, I thank you,” he said, nodding at McEntire. “Miranda said it best, Little Big Town said

Why 1997 Will Eternally Rule as an Amazing Year in Music

  • BuzzSugar
It's hard to believe that we were bopping our heads 20 years ago to songs like "I'll Be Missing You," "The Freshmen," and "Coco Jamboo," to name a few (shout out if you remember the last one well, like I do). It was a magical year for the music industry, in that 1997 was still a time where every single genre was invited to the table and brought back for seconds and thirds.
