Documentary on Late Inxs Frontman Michael Hutchence to Feature Unreleased Songs, Remembrance by Bono
A new documentary called “Michael Hutchence: The Last Rockstar” promises to “make headlines all around the world,” producer Mark Llewellyn told Australia’s The Daily Telegraph over the weekend. The beloved Inxs singer died in Nov. 1997 by suicide. He was 37.

The film, directed by Richard Lowenstein, who shot several Inxs videos including “What You Need” and “Never Tear Us Apart,” is slated to air on Australia’s Channel Seven in honor of the 20th anniversary of Hutchence’s death, and will include previously “missing songs,” personal photos, home videos, and lyrics, according to the Sydney-based paper. A trailer for the film features U2 frontman Bono, who remembers Hutchence as “amazing and interesting and then tragic.”

Although Inxs’ rise to international success has been well-documented, Llewellyn said he was given “unprecedented” access by the Hutchence estate (Hutchence was married to British television personality Paula Yates with whom he had a daughter, and

Jools Holland: ‘When Rik Mayall vomited into a camera, one man in Northampton was so appalled he called the police.’

Tyne Tees Television were looking for presenters for this new pop show. I did my audition with Paula Yates and it was chaotic. Paula interviewed a youth and ended up getting so cross she tried to slap him. I interviewed someone who was supposed to be dead and dragged him across the floor. The TV people said that we were hopeless but that they couldn’t stop watching us.

After filming we all stayed in the same Newcastle hotel. Ian Dury, Chaka Khan... it was full-on

Jarvis Cocker was driven to the audition by his mum. Boy George wore a full wedding dress.

News

Ever since a blue-robed figure manifested out of a patch of sparkly ice at the cliff-hanger to Once Upon A Time's third season finale, the question of who the series would cast as Elsa from Frozen has done the rounds.

Following the news that relative newcomers Elizabeth Lail and Scott Michael Foster were joining Once in the roles of Anna and Kristoff from the animated Disney film, we also know who our Elsa will be: Georgina Haig.

Haig is best recognised around these parts as Peter and Olivia's daughter from Fringe, Etta (see below). Recent roles for the actress include the part of Paula Yates in an Inxs miniseries, and a recurring role in crime drama Reckless.

Haig has had an interesting career so far starring in Australian films like the horror truck tale "Road Kill" with Twilight's Xavier Samuel and The 100's Bobby Morley, the nihilistic school teen drama "Wasted on the Young" with Chronicle's Alex Russell, the feel good musical "The Sapphires" with Chris O'Dowd, and the upcoming drug smuggling drama "The Mule".

She's probably best known though for her TV work such

Peaches Geldof threw herself into an ideal of motherhood. Did she set the bar too high? | Deborah Orr

Many young mothers turn to their own mothers for support when they feel vulnerable. If heroin made Peaches feel connected to Paula Yates, its temptation would have been very complex and very great

I don't know what Peaches Geldof died of. Nobody does. Yes, we now know that an overdose of heroin is likely to have been the thing that stilled her body and her mind for ever. No doubt there are some who feel self-righteous enough to make harsh judgments about that. But no amount of speculation can ever untangle the complex web of psychological and neurological factors that conspired to make this woman's life so short.

In a post-Freudian culture, it's easy to understand that the loss of the mother-of-two's own mother, Paula Yates, must have played a large part. The premature loss of a parent is hard for any child to bear. The manner of that loss is important,

Geldof’s death at age 25 on April 7 shocked her family and friends, which includes her father, Irish musician Bob Geldof. Initial reports left investigators stumped as to her cause of death.
