Trivia

Daughters, with Bob Geldof: Fifi Trixibelle Geldof (Fifi Geldof), born 31 March 1983; Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof (Peaches Geldof), born 16 March 1989 and Pixie Geldof, born in 17 September 1990.

Daughter of Jess Yates and Heller Toren.

She met ex-husband Bob Geldof and married him 10 years later. [1976]

She was brought up in North Wales in a show-business family by her mother, the former showgirl, actress and writer of erotic novels Heller Thornton (Heller Toren) and the television star Jess Yates, known as "the Bishop", who presented the ITV religious programme "Stars On Sunday". Her father was 16 years older than his wife and their marriage was unconventional. In an unsettled childhood Paula, from the age of eight, lived mostly with her mother, including spells in Malta and Majorca.

Her ex-husband Bob Geldof was given temporary care of Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence, her orphaned daughter, after she was made a ward of court. [18 September 2000]

In 1997, Hughie Green's claim that he was Paula Yates' natural father was confirmed by DNA tests.

Until May 1997, she believed that her father was her mother's husband, Jess Yates. However, a DNA test proved that her biological father was Hughie Green, presenter of "Opportunity Knocks" (1956).

On 8 November 2000, an inquest decided that death was due to "non-dependent abuse of heroin" - ie that she was not a habitual, addictive user.

Measurements: 34D-25-34 1/2 (Source: Celebrity Sleuth magazine).

She died on 17 September 2000, the 10th birthday of her daughter Pixie Geldof.

Daughter, with Michael Hutchence, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily Hutchence, born on 22 July 1996.

Godfather of her daughter Tiger Lily is Nick Cave.
