Pretend all you want, but Columbia Pictures really did do a live-action/CG “Smurfs” movie, and it’s still coming out August 3, 2011. On the plus side, Neil Patrick Harris is in it, and I hear he’s popular with the kids. New poster and image from Raja Gosnell-directed film below. When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours — in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down. Starring Jayma Mays, Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry, Sofía Vergara, Anton Yelchin, Hank Azaria, Alan Cumming, B.J. Novak, Paul Reubens, George Lopez, Jonathan Winters, Fred Armisen, Kenan Thompson, John Oliver, Adam Wylie, and Jeff Foxworthy. Get more images and »

A new image from the film has been sent over to us and includes all the characters. You can see the full version of the new picture below, along with a high-definition trailer. An earlier image is also included.

The synopsis of the new film is as follows: When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical »
