Edward Woods was born on July 5, 1903 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor, known for The Public Enemy (1931), Dinner at Eight (1933) and Hot Saturday (1932). He was married to Gabrielle Margery Morris. He died on October 8, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

Woods was originally cast as the lead in The Public Enemy (1931), with James Cagney playing the second lead, but after viewing dailies, director William A. Wellman had the actors switch roles, and Cagney became a star.
Eventually went into producing, directing and stage management, working with the Schubert Organization and 20th Century Fox. During WWII, he worked with Ronald Reagan making training films for the U.S Army. He retired in 1975, and moved to Salt Lake City.
Graduated from the University of Southern California.
