Trivia:

He left the J. Geils Band in 1983 after his bandmates refused to record songs he had composed with outside writers (previously he had co-written only with keyboardist/producer Seth Justman). Those songs later formed the basis for his Top 10 debut solo album, "Lights Out". Meanwhile, the album J.Geils released without him flopped. They disbanded shortly afterwards. See more »
