How I Met Your Mother Isn’t Done With Ted and Robin Yet

7 May 2013 12:39 PM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

We’re getting down to the wire on How I Met Your Mother – “Something Old” is the penultimate episode of Season 8 and I can’t shake the feeling we still have a long way to go before next week’s finale. I’m becoming more and more convinced my sense of direction has been slightly off the last few months. Maybe we won’t see Barney and Robin’s wedding this season after all. It seemed like a foregone conclusion, but as Ted sat in the pouring rain in Central Park next to Robin, telling her she shouldn’t look for signs from the universe, holding her hand much longer than innocent friends should, I began rethinking everything that’s happened up to this point. Can we really have a wedding with so much unresolved feelings for Robin wafting off of Ted? There just seems like too much for the show to get through. »

First Look at Scream Factory's Swamp Thing Artwork

2 May 2013 7:00 AM, PDT | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

Alrighty, kids! Time to shake off all that moss and swamp water because the Scream Factory has just revealed its official artwork for the release of Wes Craven's Swamp Thing. Check it out and count the days to see Arcane get his ass kicked!

Scream announced Craven’s 1982 adaptation of the DC comic book via its Facebook page, additionally confirming yet-to-be-announced extra features. This release will be the 91-minute U.S. cut, not the extended international version that was originally (and accidentally) released by MGM in 2000. As you may recall, that version created a minor stir when a mother purchased a copy of the film (which carries a PG rating) for her young son and was understandably shocked by the copious amounts of nudity throughout.

Craven’s movie stars Dick Durock as the titular hero (with Ray Wise playing the good doctor before his accident), Louis Jordan as the smarmy Anton Arcane, »

Reaper Finds a Home and a Reunion on FEARnet

10 April 2013 4:39 AM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

I’ve come across few people who have watched Reaper – CW’s long canceled but still much beloved comedic drama series – and didn’t like its quirky style. And much like the fans of Firefly, they lament the short lifespan the series had before it was canceled, though to be fair it lasted longer than Firefly. It’s not much, but FEARnet is looking to make Reaper fans just a tad more happy by staging a reunion with some of the cast and crew as part of their acquisition of the show’s license. It’s not a new season, but this is as good as anyone could hope for.

FEARnet made an off-network licensing deal, giving them access to all 31 episodes of Reaper’s two-season run and will, according to Deadline, air a half-hour special where the cast and crew will fondly look back on the short-lived series, including »
