Soulful female backup vocalist, whose distinctive voice can be heard on countless recordings, including Gene Pitney's "It Hurts to Be In Love"; The Archies' "Sugar, Sugar" and "Jingle Jangle"; Tony Orlando & Dawn's "Candida" and "Knock Three Times"; Steely Dan's "Babylon Sisters" and Willie Nelson's "Always on My Mind".
A legendary songwriter with such hits as "Groovy Kind of Love" (w/ Carole Bayer Sager) (1965) and "Candida" (w/ Irwin Levine) (1970) to her credit.
Sang in countless TV commercials, including Meow Mix's "Meow-Meow-Meow-Meow," Coca-Cola's "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing," Peter Paul's "Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut" and many more.
