LeBron James has complete control over his next career move, which makes him able to keep the NBA – the players, the owners and the fans in suspense – until he decides where he’ll play the 2014-2015 season.
LeBron James, Pat Riley Meet
On Wednesday, James met with Miami Heat president Pat Riley, who’s been making a concerted effort to bulk up the roster in order to convince James he can get another NBA championship at the franchise. While a decision was anticipated, none was made and no decision date was set during the Las Vegas meeting, according to Yahoo Sports.
Earlier in the week, the Miami Heat signed power forward free agent Josh McRoberts. Signing McRoberts was a major get for Riley and the Heat, which offered him a four-year, $23 million deal. The squad is also reportedly eyeing Pau Gasol, Luo Deng, Marvin Williams and Anthony Morrow.

Josh McRoberts, one of the NBA free agents that was looking for a new team, has found a new home in Miami with the Heat.
Josh McRoberts To Sign With Heat
McRoberts’ deal with the Heat is for four years and worth an estimated $23 million. The full midlevel exception also gives McRoberts, a power forward, the option of returning to free agency before the fourth season of his contract.
"From Coach [Spoelstra] to [Heat executive] Andy Elisburg to Pat [Riley] to ownership, they were all really excited about Josh," agent Mike Conley of BDA Sports told Espn. "They all met with Josh, came out from day one with their offer and made it clear to us that Josh is who they want”
"It was probably the toughest decision he's ever had to make, but it could be a once-in-a-career opportunity for Josh to join a great team with a great player,” Conley added. “They're...

The livelihoods of many in the basketball world are reliant on one particular event in the NBA offseason. The draft is a time where team scouts, general managers, coaches and other team personnel tremendously boost their job security, or where they lose it altogether. That is why no one wants to make a decision on a boom or bust player.
