Who's got the best jokes? Check out all the fun Grey's Anatomy trivia we picked up below. "Calzona" is Jessica Capshaw's favorite couple name. Capshaw was asked about her favorite couple's "ship" name during the panel, and it's no surprise that she picked the love between Callie and Arizona. Grey’s Anatomy star Sarah Drew may only play trauma surgeon Dr. April Kepner on the drama series, but in real life, the actress has been giving advice to her pregnant costar Camilla Luddington on a symptom she’s also experienced firsthand: morning sickness.
“I told her what medication to take, which was great,” Drew told People Sunday at the 2017 PaleyFest in Hollywood, California. “She said that was really helpful.”
Drew, 36, admits that she didn’t have it “as bad as” Luddington, who recently revealed that she’s been sick the majority of her pregnancy.

When the “Grey’s Anatomy” cast visited PaleyFest at the Dolby Theatre to a packed house of 2,500 fans, the panel was an affectionate look at where the characters have been and where they might be headed in their thirteenth season on ABC. Fans got an early look at the episode Ellen Pompeo directed, which will air March 30 and contains a heartbreaking development.
The cast paid sincere respect to their fearless leader Shonda Rhimes for giving them rich characters to play and for her endlessly creative mind. Chandra Wilson said, “Her mind never stops. I’ve learned from her.”
Now that TV legend Debbie Allen is both acting and directing on “Grey’s,” she’s also been a guiding force. Pompeo credited Allen for encouraging her to direct an episode, “She’s the most incredible mentor and I work with the most incredible talent.”

"I think the main takeaway from that experience in Montana is that these two people... there's so much love there, there's so much respect there. They know each other so well," Drew said during the Grey's Anatomy panel. Grey’s Anatomy is staging a gut-wrenching hour for leading lady Ellen Pompeo‘s directorial debut on March 30 (ABC, 8/7c). But the actress wasn’t plagued with butterflies during her first experience behind the camera, despite the heavy material handed to her.
“I’ve been doing this show for 13 seasons, so I wasn’t really nervous about any of the scenes, not to sound arrogant,” Pompeo said during a PaleyFest panel Sunday, which kicked off with a screening of her directorial debut. “I was more nervous about the technical aspects… I have the best cast in the world to work with. »

If you listen closely you can still hear the sound of Japril fans rejoicing.
It has been a long road for the pair and for a while it didn't appear as if they could ever come back together outside of being co-parents and roommates. Who knows what is in store for them from here on out, but there can only be good things from here, right?
Some of the best Grey's moments are when they slow things down and focus on a specific character and their own development and character growth. Jackson has been around for multiple seasons, and we've gotten to know him over the years, but there was still a lot that we just didn't know.

But that wasn't only surprise of the hour.
After Jackson successfully completed the surgery (following a few detours), the spark seemed to be back between him and April -- and the former couple not only shared a passionate kiss, but also hit the sheets!
The next morning, Jackson and April reflected on their rocky past and why Jackson's mother, Catherine ([link »

“I think that this episode is really more ‘Jackson the Movie’, than ‘Japril the Sequel,'” Sarah Drew tells Variety, referring to the episode from Season 12 that was all about Jackson and April’s relationship. “It really is about Jackson’s journey, and it made sense to have the person who knows him best be on that journey with him and show up and be strong for him in the midst of it.”

And just like that, it looks like Japril is back on. All it took was Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April's (Sarah Drew) trip to Montana on tonight's new episode of Grey's Anatomy to get the co-parents and former spouses back between the sheets. Well, that and a run-in with Jackson's long-lost pop—hey, Eric Roberts!—of course. But with the status of their relationship left rather ambiguous by the episode's end, not to mention that pesky Grey Sloan Memorial civil war they've got to return home to, where will the docs go from here? For some clarity on the subject, E! News got Drew on the phone for her thoughts. What follows is our unedited Q&A, covering the thrilling fling, »

To say that Grey's Anatomy favorites Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) have come a long way since arriving at Seattle Grace Grey Sloane from Mercy West all those years (and TV seasons) ago is a bit of an understatement.
Individually, April and Jackson arrived as surgical residents and have worked tirelessly to become key administrators at the hospital (with the latter now the board chairman). And while their professional careers have taken off, their personal lives have become more stagnant after the arrival of their daughter, Harriet.

“I dedicated my life to doing [civil rights activism] anyway and now I’ve just added another job to that, which is being on television and in films. I didn’t wake up one day and think, ‘Hey, I’ve got this platform now, what can I do with it?" Williams explains in the latest issue of Hunger Magazine, hitting newsstands on March 16.
"My parents were politically active," he continues. "[They] made sure to always speak to me about a general sense of self-respect »
For as long as he's been in our lives on Grey's Anatomy, Jackson Avery's father has never been in the picture. We've gotten more than our fill of his mother, the domineering and ultra-successful Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen)—especially with the mess she's created at Grey Sloan Memorial this year with the whole Minnick debacle—but we've never met the man who ran off when Jackson (Jesse Williams) was young, leaving him to be raised by a single mother. But it looks like that all might be changing—and soon. In this sneak peek of Thursday's new episode, exclusive to E! News, Jackson and April (Sarah Drew) have traveled to Montana to treat a young patient, but when his »
