How Candace Cameron Bure Became Synonymous With Christmas, All Thanks to Hallmark Channel

How Candace Cameron Bure Became Synonymous With Christmas, All Thanks to Hallmark Channel
The only thing Hallmark Channel seems to love more than Christmas? A nostalgia-inducing female lead. Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, and Danica McKellar seem to be the network's holy trinity, with a solid roster of returning players, Lacey Chabert, Alicia Witt, Ashley Williams, among others, all ready to step up to the poinsettia-plate for the network's wildly successful "Countdown to Christmas" programming.  But if there were ever a Miss Christmas Pageant at Hallmark (hey, that might not be a terrible idea), Candace Cameron Bure would surely be crowned the winner, with her relationship to the network's beloved holiday programming going back to 2008, and she's starred...

'Flip or Flop: Fort Worth's Andy & Ashley Williams on How Falling in Love in Iraq Led to a TV Show (Exclusive)

The couple met in a gym on deployment in Baghdad, Iraq (Andy was in the Marines, while Ashley was in the Army), and years later, are using their position on Hgtv to shine a light on veteran reintegration.

"I approached her. I asked if she needed a personal trainer," Andy tells Et of how he made the first move. "She was really, extremely beautiful, and when I first looked at her, there was, like, rockets constantly going off, [but I] forgot that I was in Baghdad. I was like, 'Wow. Who is this beautiful woman?' So it was a bit of a pickup line, but obviously she did need some help."

"I needed a lot of help!" Ashley says with a laugh.

Starz announced that they had renewed the series for a third season just a few days after the premiere of... Read More...

Getting a Grip on ‘Evil Dead II’

Celebrating 30 years worth of fanaticism and community in the cult of Ashley ‘Ash’ Williams.

Thanks to our Star Trekian utopia of VOD insta-satisfaction (“Number One, slap The Greasy Strangler on the view screen!”), it’s becoming difficult to remember the ruthless savagery of that bygone VHS hunt. I spent far too many days roaming my hometown and neighboring cities chasing down lesser-known Kurosawas, the Critters sequels, and the seemingly always elusive pre-Mad Max apocalyptic mindfuck, A Boy and His Dog. Too often I had to settle for less, and rewatch Police Academy 4 instead of the highbrow hilarity of Zapped! cuz some other Scott Baio devotee had the local Power Video on stakeout. If your tastes in cinema aligned with the Blockbuster new release guarantee then you were golden, but us degenerates with a predilection for Roger Corman, and movies made before our births were doomed to the endless quest. Which, of

Ash Vs Evil Dead Season 2

Ash Vs Evil Dead is returning for a second season and it’s all groovy baby.

Ash vs Evil Dead was one of my favorite series from this last year. Look there’s a point when you see that Bruce Campbell is going to be back slicing up Deadites you just go okay let me see it. I really enjoyed seeing Ashley Williams back in action for this cult classic series. Now along with Ash currently running for President of the United States on the platform of making America groovy again we’ve learned season 2 will premiere October 2nd 8:00 P.M. Et/Pt.

Now apparently after retiring to Jacksonville with Pablo and Kelly you would think Ash was done but if you saw the finale you know that that’s just not possible. So we’ll see Ash returning to Elk Grove his hometown to battle evil. This season will see Bruce Campbell,

Now on Blu-ray: Ash Vs. Evil Dead Scratches the Evil Dead Itch

When it was first announced that Sam Raimi's Evil Dead series was rising from the dead as a TV series last year, I jumped for joy. The Evil Dead films, and especially Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, were my entry into the world of horror when I was a teenager, and I have really strong nostalgic ties to the world of Ashley Williams. However, I will also freely admit that, like many fans, I was a bit nervous to give my heart over to this new iteration of the character and the world. There hasn't been a new Evil Dead product in over 25 years, and in those years both Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have gone off in some crazy new directions,...

Xena and Ash Vs. Evil Dead in Army of Darkness Crossover Comic

Xena and Ash Vs. Evil Dead in Army of Darkness Crossover Comic
Just in time for Halloween, Dynamite Entertainment's cornerstone title&#160Army of Darkness&#160crosses over with one of television's greatest fantasy adventure programs of all time, Xena: Warrior Princess! Debuting in October, the&#160all-new&#160Army of Darkness / Xena, Warrior Princess: Forever... and a Day four-part miniseries not only brings together these two beloved characters, but also legendary Uncanny X-Men veteran (and current Red Hood and the Outlaws writer) Scott Lobdell and DC Comics artist Elliot Fernandez (Harley Quinn and Power Girl)! In a tongue-in-cheek solicitation description that puts you inside the headspace of the Warrior Princess herself, Dynamite playfully asks this.

"You're Xena and your thousand strong army has fallen to an implacable and ancient evil. What do you do? You suck it up and summon the only ally who stands any hope at all of helping you prevent the end of the world! Unfortunately, that lone man is the ass-kicking,

Ash teams up with Xena for Army of Darkness/Xena: Warrior Princess – Forever… and a Day

Ashley J. Williams is set to team up with Xena, Warrior Princess once more courtesy of Dynamite Entertainment and creators Scott Lobdell and Elliot Fernandez, with the four-issue limited series Army of Darkness/Xena: Warrior Princess – Forever… and a Day set to launch in October.

Ashley Williams will always be one of my favorite characters, because there’s so many great Aod tales to tell, and he was the first Dynamite title we ever published,” states Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO. “You never forget your first. As one of the most unlikely heroes in pop culture, it makes it impossible not to love him… unless, of course, you’re a battle-hardened warrior like Xena, who has a little less tolerance for such shenanigans. It’s an odd couple pairing that fans of both franchises will love!”

Army of Darkness/Xena: Warrior Princess – Forever… and a Day #1 will release in October.
