The couple met in a gym on deployment in Baghdad, Iraq (Andy was in the Marines, while Ashley was in the Army), and years later, are using their position on Hgtv to shine a light on veteran reintegration.
"I approached her. I asked if she needed a personal trainer," Andy tells Et of how he made the first move. "She was really, extremely beautiful, and when I first looked at her, there was, like, rockets constantly going off, [but I] forgot that I was in Baghdad. I was like, 'Wow. Who is this beautiful woman?' So it was a bit of a pickup line, but obviously she did need some help."
"I needed a lot of help!" Ashley says with a laugh.

Thanks to our Star Trekian utopia of VOD insta-satisfaction (“Number One, slap The Greasy Strangler on the view screen!”), it’s becoming difficult to remember the ruthless savagery of that bygone VHS hunt. I spent far too many days roaming my hometown and neighboring cities chasing down lesser-known Kurosawas, the Critters sequels, and the seemingly always elusive pre-Mad Max apocalyptic mindfuck, A Boy and His Dog. Too often I had to settle for less, and rewatch Police Academy 4 instead of the highbrow hilarity of Zapped! cuz some other Scott Baio devotee had the local Power Video on stakeout. If your tastes in cinema aligned with the Blockbuster new release guarantee then you were golden, but us degenerates with a predilection for Roger Corman, and movies made before our births were doomed to the endless quest. Ash vs Evil Dead was one of my favorite series from this last year. Look there’s a point when you see that Bruce Campbell is going to be back slicing up Deadites you just go okay let me see it. I really enjoyed seeing Ashley Williams back in action for this cult classic series. Now along with Ash currently running for President of the United States on the platform of making America groovy again we’ve learned season 2 will premiere October 2nd 8:00 P.M. Et/Pt.
Now apparently after retiring to Jacksonville with Pablo and Kelly you would think Ash was done but if you saw the finale you know that that’s just not possible. So we’ll see Ash returning to Elk Grove his hometown to battle evil. This season will see Bruce Campbell,

As one of the most unlikely heroes in pop culture, it makes it impossible not to love him… unless, of course, you’re a battle-hardened warrior like Xena, who has a little less tolerance for such shenanigans. It’s an odd couple pairing that fans of both franchises will love!”
